I'd say his Water-Type Pokemon would be Dewpider. I mean, Popplio is taken and the fish are never really used, so...

What's to say that Ash is going to have a water-type this generation? Most people said that he'd have a grass-type in Kalos because "Tradition!" and look what it got them.

I wouldn't be surprised if the water slot remains open so Greninja can get a return late into the saga, around the time the Ultra Beast story from the games is adapted to the anime. I can see it similar to being when Ash's Charizard returned a few times in past sagas. With Ash Greninja being canon to the games now too, there's no doubt the writers will want to advertise it again.

That's not much better. Bubbles is still five even if you were ten when you made the account. It's still creepy. Especially when combined with how you've brought up your foot fetish in terms of the new pokegirls multiple times in relation to the most recent episode.

Precita: Personally, I would rather have Anabel return as Mission Control during the Ultra Beasts arc either for the Group or for Ash (and Lillie) personally. I would imagine that she was a little more... memorable in AG than Steven was... Heck, her ability to detect the Ultra Beasts is a bit of a nod to her being an Empath in the Anime...

I will admit, it was nice to see a beach episode again, but, the fact that TR was so close to beating Ash did not sit well with me and i cannot for the life of me understand why so many people would think that that was a good thing.

Ash could have been dangerously close to losing his pokemon (while wearing a swimsuit) and this sort of thing implies that he can't defend himself against the T Rio without help, how is any of that good?

It sort of spoils the episode for me.

Ash literally only has 2 pokemon in SM. Pikachu and a newly caught weak Rowlett. Pikachu usually gets a downgrade of power everytime a new saga starts just so it doesn't dominate everything, and Ash starts off with new weak pokemon captures that need experience just like in the games when you capture new low-leveled pokemon in the wild.

I don't see why its a big deal he's struggling with TR, especially since they also captured new pokemon and they seem powerful. He has literally 1 Alola pokemon so far.

Besides Litten and Rockruff, I think I'd like him to get a Grubbin and a Salandit (because he had the other two crocodiles).

The YMMV.Pokemon Anime page got some interesting edits.

While I haven't seen any episodes of SM, the similarities between Mimikyu and QB seem very superficial.

That first expression is one I've seen in many anime and manga before, in particular gag works or when another work is being particularly silly. Whoever made that edit must not watch/read much Japanese media. As for that second thing, it is weird but I have no idea why that would make someone nauseous.

Of course, if the RWBY Nightmare Fuel page has taught me anything, the "X Fuel" tropes can apply to absolutely anything and everything.

The reason I put the Character Comparison on there was because so many people think the same from the other websites I go on and while I do think they are superficial, many people I've spoken too have seen the similarities. In fact the superficial reasons is why I didn't put it in an Expy section because I knew that is only for characters that are practically copies of another.

I also disagree with QB being an Eldritch Abomination. Those, at least to me, are things that absolutely cannot be understood. They just don't make sense from any rational, human perspective. They're creatures that are meant to drive you mad from the mere sight of them. They're things that should not be.

QB, on the other hand, is really easy to understand. He's just an alien cat thing linked to a hive mind of other alien cat things trying to postpone the heat death of the universe. He only becomes evil in "The Rebellion Story."

Most uses of Expy I see end up superficial. Something to do with popular things being shilled anywhere some fan wants.

ha ha holy shit that uvula thing. Was that actually easily noticeable in the actual shot or is it just an animator's easter egg?

Also, Ash's new facial expressions is actually the result of Better animation techniques, not worse ones. Thanks to both Veteran and new japanese animators utilizing Toon Boom, they can much more expressive characters more akin to Western animation. Its the best of both worlds, really.

Speaking of the new animation used, it reminds me of Little Witch Academia and Kill la Kill's animation. The only one that looks weird and almost off model is Ash, I'm not entirely sure why that is though.

There's difference between Off-Model and Stylization.

Off Model is more like the main page image for it, while Ash's is more the latter.

I still can't get over that we have 3 main girls in the same saga for the first time ever. After so many sagas of only 1 girl on the cast, or in XY with Serena and a younger sibling character like Bonnie, it feels really weird to have 3 new main girls in the same arc.

This really brings back memories in the older years of the anime why everyone asked why does each female character have to leave for the next one, or why is there only one girl on the cast. Ash now has 8 female companions, it literally tripled from 5 at the end of XY.
