Oh yeah, VC 2's light tank B chassis is all kinds of OP, especially when combined with OP captured turrets. I mean, with that thing around, the heavy tank hulls would be a hard sell if they cost 2 CP, never mind their incredibly high 3 CP cost.

There are specific maps where I'll deploy a heavy tank, simply for the immense health and defence.
Generally, story missions where I don't need the on-demand firepower or shoulder utilities, I need an immortal turret sitting on my base camp.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television. So I just picked this up recently for PS 4 and have gotten to the point where I have met the reporter and funded her fist stories about the squad.
At this point I noticed the challenge missions so I thought I would try a few. Holy shit was that a bad idea. Elite enemies everywhere delivering a massive curb stomping. I am guessing these are meant for those a bit further into the story line. The scout mission was horrible. I barely did anything to the enemy and flattened me with a vengeance. Anti-Armor mission, even worse. So many damn tanks.
Other then that I am pretty thoroughly enjoying this game so far.
Who watches the watchmen?Challenge missions are balanced around you having beaten the game. On the upside, if you can manage to squeeze through, they're worth a lot of experience.
Just don't do what I did, and not realise that the R&D pages scroll down.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television. The shitty thing about the anti-tank mission is that that one actually revolves around not having a lot of lancers, but just enough to kill or disable a few tanks every turn while having lots of other troop types for support against enemy infantry.
Mobility kills are friends.
As is the anti-tank sniper rifle from one of the other challenge missions.
Yeah I am no where near ready for the challenge missions I only have the first item researched on infantry kit across the board.
Who watches the watchmen?Did you meant mission 9? That is easy, just get a scout behind the tank and give her the anti-tank order, she will chew through the APC's life.
Dressed to Kill. No, that one is decently simple; Rosie was my MVP there.
We meant the Challenge of the Edy Detachment mission, which has challenges centered around the five troop types, and specifically the lancer challenge. Craptons of tanks on the worst map of the game (Naggiar Plains with the two Dromedarius tanks).
Looks like Valkyria Azure Revolution is coming over to the States as Valkyria Revolution, for PS4, Vita, and (not mentioned in this particular link) XBox One. Vita will be digital-only, because, well, Vita in the US.

I hope the Vita version plays well since that's usually cheaper, though I do have a PS4 now. I suppose I should try to at least finish the first game before Revolution comes out. I know it plays very differently from the other VC games, so I'm very cautiously excited about it.
Part of me wants to hate it purely on principle, since it isn't the BLITZ strategy that made the games unique, but part of me doesn't want to crush a possible revival to the series...
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.I should get around to playing VC2 already, honestly. VC3 also sounds good, since it's back to the original time period of VC1.
It's been fun.If this gives potential HD versions of VC2 and 3 a chance to happen, I'll gladly get this game to support that.
Peace. Pace. Sanity. Check out my DeviantArt! ^_^I feel like VC 2 could actually do quite well if they make some alterations.
Either let us convert unneeded certificates into the ones we want, or more control over what we win from the missions.
Increase the amount of people we can deploy, since you've now got the processing power to handle it.
Let us mod the escort APC. I don't care if you'll give it the same terrible stats, I want to have the shoulder device that lets you see in the dark, or ignore heat's AP drain.
I'm sure there's other stuff, but I can't think of it ATM.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Valkyria Revolution reviews are out.
So far, it's not looking good.
From the prologue I saw, it looked okay.
Haven't actually played it yet, I expect my order will arrive next Wednesday.
I'm really concerned that this could kill the series just as it's starting to revive itself.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Valkyria Chronicles 4 announced for PS4/XB1/Switch. Coming 2018.
Really need to get off my ass and finish the first one on PC.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. What was so bad about Revolution
Like, this is a seriously panned game
Revolution has a strong core concept but they seriously botched the execution and presentation
Anyway tentatively excited to finally get another VC game on console but it looks like ice physics are going to be a thing and there are so many ways Sega could screw that up, EWII setting is kinda disappointing but it does look like they're going to at least present something new that isn't awkwardly inserted into prior narratives

Looks like we're focusing on the Federation this time around. Probably about time; Gallia been featured in three games in a row even though they're basically a bit player in the greater war. Also, looks like we didn't need to worry about Revolution killing the franchise; wonder if it was just a proof-of-concept or something.

World Whosball Champion 1945-1991VC4 will have a special DLC story featuring VC1 characters, completing it will unlock Welkin in Edelweiss, Alicia, Largo, Rosie, Edy & Isara as playable characters
Really digging the Federation not-Shermans, though they look kind of out of place against the more cartoonishly-proportioned Imperial tanks.
If there's an English release, I'll probably be all over this, just like 1 and 2 and like I would have been with 3 if it hadn't been a case of No Export for You.
Also, the added worldbuilding will no doubt be invaluable to the efforts of VC mod makers for HOIIV.

English release is confirmed. And 3 does have a complete fan translation floating around.
Yeah, but I seem to recall that I'd have to jailbreak a PSP for that, which is a bit more work than I'm willing to put in to play a game.
Hype about that English release, though.
This isn't game 2, where you get tanks with 1 CP cost and bloodthirsty. They're useful for soaking bullets, wiping out large enemy groups, or demolishing barricades.
You're supposed to suffer. You have to kill the eternally respawning reinforcements while trying to sneak a lancer through the north grass in order to blow out that engine, then concentrate your forces on killing all the southern forces.
It's a really horrible level. Even if you had gotten to keep Alicia, it would be terrible.
