Rude Awakening? Dream, Interrupted? Just Getting Good?
And I Was Having Such a Nice Dream...
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.^ Perfect!
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I second that one. The phrase Five More Minutes is also used for other things. Can't I stay up five more minutes? Can't I have five more minutes before I go do my home work? It will take me five more minutes to disarm this device, cover me.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickYeah, my first guess was that it was the Pro Wrestling trope where a match goes to the time limit, and the babyface demands an impromptu overtime.
Of the proposed replacements, I like Rude Awakening the most.
Rude Awakening is a different trope.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. Dick^ Which itself has a poor title. Who dozed off on naming the sleeping tropes, anyway?
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.This thread expired after 60 days of inactivity.
This trope still has an overly broad title and needs to be renamed. I've attached a rename crowner. Vote, please.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI vote for "Dream, Interrupted".
Rename won at huge margin. Swapped for an alt tiles crowner.

Crown Description:
Trope is character living a fantasy in their dream but woken up just before they get to the good part.
Now their reaction may be "Five More Minutes", but it's a lot more common to say "Why didn't you wait for just one more minute to wake me up?" or similar. In fact, Five More Minutes is also a typical reaction when trying to awaken a particularly Heavy Sleeper in vain. My biggest complain though is that "5 more minutes" is popularly associated with snooze buttons, and oversleeping.
