BUTNOWWEGETARELATIONSHIPARCWITHRIGBYAHH!
Say what you want about the relationship plot line but at least it lets Rigby's maturity shine through.
And I feel obliged to point out that Mordecai and C.J. only worked for the development he went throw with Margaret. C.J. herself wasn't responsible for that at all.
And really Mordecai and Margret's relationship wasn't that hard too swallow. The show made it pretty clear the only thing that kept it from happening sooner were Mordecai fears. That's the entire reason things were able to happen so fast with C.J, because he already dealt with something similar.

But why should we care about said character? I don't hate Margs, but she has as much interesting development as Hey Arnold. C.J is not avoided by this either, but she's not as bland as Margaret, who just worked better as the cute friend.
"We be we baby!"I don't know, I get finding C.J. more entertaining but the argument that she has more depth as a character never really worked with me. Honestly I'd be more okay with their relationship if it happened differently, not exactly like his and Margret's, but the way it happened just seemed off to me.

Because he was never actually a part of the love triangle/drama, so when all the other characters get dragged through the mud, Rigby looks better by comparison. it's why I almost never like these kind of storylines because it usually comes at the expense of another character and the show itself unfortunately.
I'd have to agree sadly, it's been season after season of the same Mordecai putting Margaret on a pedestal and 'pulling a Mordecai', then when finally something happened (break up/Margaret going to college, Mordecai moving on, etc.) then they go and pull a love triangle/relationship drama full of the same misunderstandings. It's been painful nonetheless.

I never really saw Mordecai as putting Margaret on a pedestal. I think he would have been the same way with any girl he happened to like. It even happened with C.J. for a bit but not nearly as long because he already went throw it once with a girl he really liked.
I say that because it was all about Mordecai messing things up/things not going his way with no input from Margaret and when Margaret had her first episode, it was just the same thing they did for Mordecai only to trot out more of the same relationship drama. Even during the episode with Margaret's family, it was more about Mordecai's antics/bonding with her dad, than it was with her character and then they managed to squeeze in yet another CJ gets angry/jealous and storms off routine that they kept beating into the ground.

I admit they did overdo that.
So is no one else going to acknowledge that Mordecai was dressed up as The Dude?

I did not notice that before.
"I'll show you all of Paris, I'll take you on a tour, we'll go up and up and up so high they'll long for an encore!"Neither did I. Did sound a lot like Lebowski.
"We be we baby!"Already in the recap...
Yeah, it was added after I made the post.
Surprised it took seven seasons to see a Big Lebowski ref. How long before they reference No Country for Old Men?
To be fair, there was a subtle reference way back in season 3's "Skips Strikes" where Skips told Death "Yeah, well thats just your opinion Death".
Did anyone else think Skips was out of focus because of the new Star Wars movie?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?So the trailer for the movie just dropped:

Yes, this looks appropriately epic. Makes me think that when RS finally ends, Quintel should try out a sci-fi cartoon.

NOOICE!
"We be we baby!"Lots of, er, scalding aimed at Rigby in that there trailer.
H.B. WardSince when was Rigby the main focus in this series?
"We be we baby!"I saw that trailer yesterday - Rigby done fucked up, now.
New Web Browser, same old Shokew.Tonight's episode "The Lunch Club", was a really interesting piece on Benson's problem with his dad and Rigby with his slacker nature. They really do work well on each others' attitudes.
"We be we baby!"The sequence of clips in that movie trailer lead to a rather funny moment.
Benson: We have to save the universe!
Mordecai: Noooooooo!
I guess Mordecai really doesn't want to save the universe.
I think perhaps they should have just called it "Regular Movie".
Wow the episode about the trophy was excellent. Probably one of the best episodes I seen.
That's why the main romance never worked for me, it's too contrived and it drags out the drama, making things worse for all the characters involved, but I do like Rigby/Eileen and Skip's romance because it's not heavy handed or focused on too much to drag the series down.
