I like Fighting Force (also on N64, with slightly tweaked gameplay at the expense of the awesome original soundtrack), Crisis Beat and Gekido, all on the Playstation.
The Dreamcast has Dynamite Cop (decent) and Zombie Revenge (didn't play it but is considered good).

I liked the Spider Man games (the game felt a bit shallow during boss fights, but who cares?)
Fighting Force was mediocre to me. It didn't pull of Final Fight in 3D very well. but I LOVED Die Hard Arcade. I should go try and find Dynamite Cop.
Crisis Beat also looks pretty cool. Is that an import? A pretty good import that's like Golden Axe is Lucifer Ring for the PSX. Though it's beyond obscure.
Zombie Revenge is alright. Not bad but It's controls piss me off at times. The female character is hot, but annoyingly voiced.
I've also been scouring the earth for both Berserk games for the DC and PS 2.

Huh... Nekketsu Oyako wouldn't have anything to do with Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun, would it? If so, that's definitely on my To Play list.

I'm in an eBay kinda mood, folks.
Final Fantasy Adventure or Sword Of Mana?
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I've heard a lot of people didn't like the remake as much as the original, so maybe Final Fantasy Adventure? On the other hand, from what I've seen of it, Sword of Mana is beautiful looking.
Any reason you can't get both?
No reason. I should probably get both. Though I heard the remake really clutters things up.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.The Etrian Odyssey games (though by the looks of the Etrian Odyssey thread, you've got that covered), and if you like the Etrian Odyssey games but want more Dungeons and Dragons style mechanics (like armor class and the like), The Dark Spire is good. * The Shin Megami Tensei games are extremely popular, but I haven't played any myself. For non-RPG games, you can't go wrong with Trauma Center, and I love Odin Sphere, in spite of its faults. The Dept Heaven games are kind of strange. I would consider them traditional RP Gs, because they all have bizarre mechanics. I don't care for them, but everyone else loves them.
Ah, Odin Sphere looks VERY interesting. I should go look that up.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Be warned, it is on the repetitive side. If you get the US version, there's lots of slowdown. It's a flawed game, but I love it, and the story and art are both fantastic.
The same company made an RTS (well, kind of), Grim Grimoire, and a spiritual successor to Odin Sphere, Muramasa The Demon Blade, as well.
A good beat em up or action rpg with a good combat system (a combat system that requires you to put some thought into what you're slashing/ punching and how you do it) and isn't all just dial a combo. 2D or 3D, either one is fine.
Systems I have are NES, SNES, N64, PSX 2 and 3, Dreamcast, Wii, GBA and DS.

ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Sorry about the thread revival, guys...
For my next game I want to buy later on, I'm kinda torn up between Yggdra Union and Planescape Torment...
I wanted to buy the latter just because of the story... Should I buy Planescape Torment...?
Shutdown sequence initiated.Get Planescape Torment. NOW.
I don't have too much to say.Though they're not of the same genre, eventually get both. If you're kinda strapped for cash, go with Planescape first.
I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!Planescape it is, then.
When I have the time, I'll get it.
Shutdown sequence initiated.Any good compilations of arcade games and classic games/ series? What are the best versions of each?
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Hm. Is it okay if I just mention a couple I've seen/purchased but haven't got around to playing with yet? If so, here ya go: Namco Museum: 50th Anniversary (PS 2, GCN, X Box), Data East Arcade Classics (Wii), and I just picked up Dragon's Lair Trilogy (Wii), which has Dragon's Lair 1 and 2 along with Space Ace.

Magical Drop and Joe And Mac Caveman Ninja make the Data East collection worth the purchase.
Though I wonder: Is the Magical Drop game the Japanese version? Because the US/ Euro versions are a bit too vanilla and wonky.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 is a decent buy. The Wii version is the best since it has the less slowdown, thought it still isn't 100% accurate in spots.
So I've finally got a PSP. What are some good (preferably cheap) games I should get? I'm already planning on getting the usual stuff (FFT, Kingdom Hearts, Dissidia, etc.), so I'd especially like to know what are some good action, rpg, and puzzle games.
2 types of games i'm looking for:
1. Like the Zelda series, only Nintendo Hard.
2. An Action-Adventure/ Action RPG that plays like The Adventure Of Link. Emphasis on hand to hand/ sword combat, reflexes and awesome boss fights. (not The Battle Of Olympus. That game had potential, but i loathe it even now.)

Eh, let me think.
Spider-Man on the PS 1 was pretty fun, if that's the kind of game you're looking for.
