No, he didn't. He wrote the sequels and might've been an influence of the first movie, but he didn't create RoboCop on write the first movie.

Pokemon Adventures ch 1 & 2

Another great review, but now I really do want to see Linkara review Pocket Monsters. That manga got weird. As in "let's make-up new Pokémon and show uncensored testicles" weird.

Kind of interesting that we didn't go all the way up to Pikachu's first appearance in the series this time.

Well it won't be around until Red gets around Pewter City, which is close to Pikachu's habitat Viridian Forest. It should also be noted that the Adventures manga came around the same year as the anime, 1997, so Pikachu wasn't at the must-have mascot zone yet (though it gain that very shortly afterwards considering that Red gets Pikachu in just a few chapters).

I do not know when exactly the first chapter was released but I do know that based on volume release dates, Adventures debut slightly latter than the anime itself at October 1997 while the anime debuted in April 1997.

Despite catching that Nidorino, i don't believe Red ever used it.

Edit: Yea, Red never uses it at all in the Adventures manga.

Yep, Red never used it. He also hasn't used alot of the other Pokemon he's caught. he mostly sticks to Poli, Pika, Saur, Aero, Vee, Snor, & Gyara.

Going through the Amazons Attack review. Never did watch that one.

Additional: HA! The whole thing was a Countdown tie in.

Wasn't really excited for this review, but having watched it, I gotta say, that show actually looked really cool. I didn't watch Super Megaforce but from what I say I wanna say they downplayed the pirate stuff.

I was honestly surprised there weren't more One Piece jokes. I think these "pirates" acted less like pirates than the Straw Hats.

I cracked up at the stinger.

Probably because Lewis hasn't seen One Piece. But it's very clear that Toei wanted to capitalise on their sweet One Piece money by making a Sentai that pays homage to it.

I can't be the only one who feels Linkara has some sort of hatred towards his own sexuality.

Because he doesn't think fan service should supplant story, logic, or character development?

And he is right. Nothing against fanservice itself, but there are authors that go way too far with that, to the point it actually causes more harm to the story than good. Sometimes it can be so forced and the characters act so unnaturally, it looks like you are reading a parody instead of something with an actual plot and it becomes hard to take anything in it seriously. I presume that is what annoys him in comics so much, because it annoys me too when everyone suddenly starts acting out of character for the sake of a cheap joke. Also, considering you are reading from an user that is completely ok with some ecchi-like scene (depending on the context), that may say something, sometimes less is more and there are times in the plot that doesn't ask for a gratuitous joke because the sudden change of mood may completely distract the viewer from something else that is happening, just don't try too hard or people may stop taking your work seriously.
