Oh my gods. I love Shortpacked!. Personally, my favorite Batman joke from it was the one where Bruce Wayne, at a party, goes "I'm Batman." Beat "I mean... I'm... not Batman? I'm Batman."
I think it's utterly hilarious that Holokara's big plan was to forcing Marvel to fix Spider-Man at gunpoint; I was laughing so hard I had to hit pause. But I also think it's entirely in character. This is a thing that really matters to Linkara and Holokara; of course this is how Linkara would go evil. (I mean, look at it this way: suppose Linkara or Holokara had gone more traditionally evil and taken over the world. Does anyone think that making the comics industry do what he wants would not be the very first thing on his world-conqueror agenda?) And I think it's an honest-to-God temptation to our Linkara in a way that something larger and more abstract wouldn't have been. So I really liked it as a resolution.
...although I still tend to think Holokara had an accelerated or concentrated version of Linkara's issues, rather than being exactly what Linkara would have done if he'd been there. Lack of murder attempts aside, if he'd been anywhere near as far gone as Holokara, nothing Aplos or Margaret said would have made a dent. But hey, he's had a serious scare and it's making him think things are worse than they are; it's understandable.
Yeah, i'd blame it on computer operating faster then human mind making Holokara degenerate into evilness faster.
And there's something wrong with Comicron-1. I believe the two are connected.
*ding* Plot point!
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Does anyone know what comics Linkara's reviewing next? I assume October's Secret Origins Month per usual.
I thought that was November.
And I believe he's starting "Long Box of the Damned" this month.
hey, you're right. On both counts! I actually forget about Long Box of the Damned.
yeah October was the Silent Hill month, but he's already said he won't be doing Silent Hill again due to having done all that series now, so who knows.
I'm kind of hoping he does Hulk for Secret Origins Month as he is one of the few major heroes to never get a full review (another one would be The Flash).
isn't october usually the 1 episode clone saga thing plus whatever he has planned to take the silent hill spot?
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."Okay, so, I propose a drinking game: In these coming videos, take a shot whenever the word "thing" (or a variation thereof, like "things," "something," "thing-a-ding-ding," etc.) is mentioned.

Well, I won't let that stop me! I'll drink from beyond the grave if I have to!
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I'm wondering if we'll get a Longbox of the Damned trailer. We know most of the episodes have already been shot, after all.
But then, it premieres the day after tomorrow, so...
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. All I remember about the Thing comics was seeing a cover of "The Thing From Another World" from Dark Horse, in which a guy got dragged towards the namesake mass of deadly abomination.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987XD Man, did I call it or what?
That logo bugs me. It looks like the show should be airing on Nickelodeon.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Hmm hes tackling the first ever story in the 90s clone saga...
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."I like how Moarte has the same accent as Hank Ishtar. They do both live in tombs...
Groovy. That does sound like a neat series to look up.
It is a neat series! up to two short tales an issue plus the ongoing story of the residents working in the house
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."
It's done pretty much nothing but improve, in my opinion. It's got a larger cast of more well-rounded characters and does a good job keeping things moving forward and balancing out the gag strips. I'd highly recommend giving it another look.
...Someone stop me before I derail the thread.
