Beating htem is trivial if you've gotten this far.
- Tip 1: Iron Shield + Shield Rod is good stuf for those without the patience to farm heavier, godlier weapons.
- Tip 2: Farm the Crissaegrim. seriously. Its dropped by the Schmoos (the flying teacloth enemies) in the Inverted Library. Its a rare drop but once you get it, keep it close and damn well love it like a son. It may have a lower attack stat but the sheer rate it hits will render that a total non issue. Moreso if you get two of them.
Yeah, I got lost in the library for a bit during my playthrough and didn't even know I'd picked one up. I just found it in my inventory, equipped it wondering what all the fuss was about, then walked through the game with a Zero saber combo on permanently. Galamoth was a joke, and I immediately felt disapointed. Granted I'd just killed him with a Game-Breaker, but other than the stupid high HP, he's extremely easy to stun lock and quickly becomes a damage sponge.
It's fun to just stroll through the game with it. Dracula can still be trouble, even with one equipped if you don't bring potions or food. Faerie's very helpful there.
For more funsies, pair the Crissaegrim with other ridiculous Game-Breaker level goods like the Alucard gear (Either if you glitched the intro to keep it or found it later on), the soul steal spell (Master it and watch everything die to heal you) or even a Rune Sword if you can muster the patience to farm that fucking thing.
I was gonna recommend grabbing a Ring of Varda but for some reason that's only available after beating the game so its not much useful, but it does GROSSLY buff Alucard's stats to shit-hundred-and-fuck. And he's plenty broken enough already.
Seriously SOTN is one of my favourite games but its so easy to break in to pieces.
I love all the Silmarillion references and in-jokes. Somebody on that localization team must have been a hardcore fan because there's some pretty obscure namedrops.
Even if they're wrong I simply cannot call most of these weapons by their proper names because Crissaegrim just sounds so fucking badass.
Wait, what does the Rune Sword do again?
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Its a throwing sword thathas great horizontal range, great damage and always comes back to you when thrown. Also it makes an energy trail that says "Verboten".
Unfortunately you tend to get nuked by a Nova Skeleton after grabbing it if you're not too careful.
What is the benefit of dual-wielding crissaegrims?
I have a message from another time...Shred enemies and bosses even faster! You thought one Crissaegrim made sausage ou tof everything, double Crissaegrims get the job done even faster with added damage and with rhythmatic weapon button tapping,a non-stop constant stream of death slashes from Alucard like he's Hundred Crack Fisting with every step.
Didn't they nurf the heck out of that weapon in the online game?
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Sort of but now there's apparently a +1 version that's just as effective as the olden days. Its in Dawn of Sorrow too under its original proper title Valmanway but honestly it seems a bit weaker to me. Nothing like the raging buzzsaw of eternal torment the original Crissaegrim was.
A certain immortal gaming classic was released precisely 20 years ago today.
Oh wow.
What a time to be alive...
Even the Dracula X port is ten years old.
WARNING: Contains top bepping
That video may have broken my soul.
I dunno if anyone's ever lost the Rune Sword via sheer carelessness or lack of focus but its still heartbreaking.
Although Vinny does tend to lose focus on the game at hand most of the time and it is usually funny.
Happy 20th, SOTN. Please un-cancel this franchise.
Speaking of, playing Order of Eclesia. Jeez, I know I'm far from a good CV player, but the second level already is kicking my ass. Fucking heads, they're somehow even more annoying than usual.
Considering the Castlevania protagonists make a habit of killing Death what happens when they die of old age or something?
EDIT: The VideoGame.Castlevania Rondo Of Blood mentions something about a a No Fair Cheating moment if you Item Crash Death, but I can't find anything about it. What happens?

The Protomen enhanced my life.Order of Ecclesia was made to be really difficult. Good luck!
The Protomen enhanced my life.If I recall right, he flies into the background to dodge, then counters by shooting flaming skulls from there to the foreground.
Speaking of Rondo, I find it kind of hilarious/awesome that in Maria's ending, when Dracula starts giving his usual speech about the evils of man and how he'll back, she basically says "I don't know what the fuck your talking about. Being a dick is still being a dick, Trying to sugarcoat it with excuses doesn't change that."
Which, is a more effective shutdown than most characters manage.
The best part about that is when you beat him and he's like "COMPLETELY impossible! Beaten by a little girl!?"
The Protomen enhanced my life.
Thankfully that's much easier than getting the rings. If anything I find just getting to the bosses is the hard part.
