Isn't it weaker? I'm sure I read that it wasn't quite as beastly.

"Valmanway" was Crissaegrim's original name. It got changed to "Crissaegrim" in English SOTN because Tolkien. Then in the Sorrow games it was changed back to Valmanway.

Also SOTN is also lol Richter lol Hydro Storm and Saturn SOTN is lol Maria lol Invincibility Spell

And while I haven't played all of it, a lot of DXC SOTN Maria is lol Suzaku crash.

I've got DXC Symphony but haven't beaten it proper yet so I can't really say. I bet it is hilarious though.

There's also her base Suzaku item. Instead of flying birdies, like young Maria, it's a pair of fiery wings that repeatedly burn everything slighly above her.

Honestly, I think they should have left it as Crissaegrim. It's a way more awesome name.

Just beat PSP Succubus. The way she says "You're the son of Lord Dracula!" is so different in the PSP version. Here she sounds like she already knew exactly who Alucard was and was being a right bitch about it yet in the PSX version she sounds as if she only now just realized "Oh shit that's my boss's kid isn't it I'm right fucked aren't i"

If Alucard didn't do it, Drac probably would due to how she impersonated his wife.

Well, come to think of it, it's kind of hard to believe that she didn't know who Alucard was, after crafting such a personalized memory/dreamscape for him.

So, bought Harmony of Despair for my birthday yesterday.
Ran through Chapter 1 a few times with Soma.
Finally beat Gergoth on run 7(or 8, maybe?).

It's definitely scratching my Castlevania itch.
Seems a bit more difficult than I remember Symphony or the handhelds being.

Any advice for someone who just picked it up?
Or friend invites for multiplayer?(when I get more comfortable with it, anyway)

What version did you get?

Oh cool awesome. I've only got Richter and Simon so far (Well I got Julius, Yoko and Chapter 7 but they don't count for PS 3 players)

@Arcan Genth: Start chapter 8 on hard and make suicide runs for the chests. The purple ones are the ones you want, but you'll most likely die before reaching one. But you keep any gear you manage to pick up, and the gear on chapter 8 hard is awesome.

Good job on beating Gergoth, think it took me more than two dozen attempts before I beat him the first time.

Not sure how the online works, as I've only ever played single player, but I could help you out online if you want. Assuming we're on the same server or whatever (not sure how it works.) I've beat every chapter up to 9 on normal. I don't have the last two yet. And I don't have any DLC characters at all.

I recently got a number of older Castlevania games ^list PSX Symphony of the Night, NDS Dawn of Sorrow, Order of Ecclesia, Portrait of Ruin, Super Castlevania 4, SNES Vampire's Kiss, N64 Castlevania and Legacy of Darkness, GBA Castlevania, Aria of Sorrow, Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance. Where should I start?

btw, you're on PS 3 too right? And you're in blighty too. Do you want to exchange PSN id's? I've got zero experience online, but I have beaten every level up to chapter 9. And my Shanoa has the most OP spell she can learn at level 6.

Vampire's Kiss is very much a kiddie Castlevania in terms of gameplay, about even with Super IV for different reasons.

Got 'em all in a bundle from a cousin.

Guess I'll give SOTN a try later on.
