Split, maybe?: Ace Attorney

As discussed on the talk page, the size of the Ace Attorney page is getting a bit too big, and we think creating a page for each game, then moving the associated tropes to the respective pages would shorten it to a reasonable size.

Plus, breaking it up would avoid the issue noted in bold - reading the page about one game has the risk of inadvertently spoiler another.

Should this course of action be taken?

Good Idea!. Especially considering that the crossover which isn't even out yet has its own page.

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Justice For All, Pheonix Wright Ace Attorney Trials And Tribulations, Apollo Justice Ace Attorney, Ace Attorney Investigations Miles Edgeworth, and Gyakuten Kenji 2. Of course I don't know how to deal with pttitles.

For ptitles, in the Wiki Sandbox, enclose the title in these (without the spaces): [ = ~Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney~ = ]. That produces Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Click on the redlink and edit that page.

It'll make clearing up the character page and all the THOUSANDS of spoiler tags much easier to navigate as well.

We can probably make an index out of the Ace Attorney title as well, kind of like Street Fighter has.

Here's what I suggest:

We make a short introduction on all of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Justice for All, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials & Tribulations, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, and Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney Investigations to start with. Then we start moving tropes / characters / etc. from the main page over to the new pages a bit at a time.

That way, we wouldn't immediately be overwhelmed and everyone would be able to help out, hmm, yes?

I'm currently working on the first game. I mostly used the generic sereis intro for it. Feel free to take over the others.

I approve of this idea, even though I think a split into Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Apollo Justice Ace Attorney and Ace Attorney Investigations should be enough. I'm just saying that because I've seen other game pages (like the Zelda one) being split into so many fragments and don't think that the results were exclusively good.

I agree. Each "generation" of the series would work well as a stand-alone article. Even the three-game Phoenix arc could be condensed into one article (folders?).

Yes. That's the ideal solution. There are still tropes common to all five games.

Leave it on the main page. Ideally that's where the series general tropes should go.

If you'd read the posts above you, they just went over that.

I would say if they apply to all games they should Stay on the Group works page.

I'll start working on Ace Attorney Investigations.

I just finished moving most of the tropes from the first three games from the main page to Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

I think the result may too long to stay as one page; should we consider splitting it further? (It's nicely subdivided into each of the three games at present.)

Seperate it into folders.

And I'm done with the AAI page. All that's left is Apollo Justice.

Sorry you did that already. Maybe move the Tropes common to all three to the main page?

So do I. I changed it to Byrne for the sake of an RP but I think I'll change it back.

I'll work on AJ, as it'll be very easy to pick out tropes specific to that series now...

That's a nice start. I hope nobody minds, but I changed the images on the Apollo and the Investigation pages. I think actual artwork looks better than just the rather plain boxarts.

So what are we going to do about all of the namespaces? Do we need to pick through all of the Crowning Moments and Characters and WMGs and everything and put them under the appropriate game, or is it okay to leave them in Main?
