Conan supposed to use an ax! The good Conan had an ax. Why does everyone forget that sword is only his secondary weapon.◊

If you can only have one weapon, have a sword for it's unparalleled versatility.

The Ax can hook, which would work well in Flynning can can be thrown if need be. I supposed it wouldn't be as effective against plate armor, he still has a sword. The Ax is his primary weapon though, it should be the focus in all these promotional shots.

If he even has an axe.

That's Jason Momoa's real hair. He looks scary in normal clothes with the hair.

And from watching the trailer in back to back weeks (before Cowboys and Aliens and Rise of the Planet of the Apes) I've noticed one thing: even as a evil demon goddess, Rose McGowan is still hot.

I can't see anything in evil demon goddess that would imply a loss of hotness really. In fact, the opposite.

This debuted in Finland today. I wrote a review for my blog.

You know what was really funny? Early on, when Conan attacks that slave port, he says: "No one should live in chains!" Then he orders his allies to loose huge boulders down into a crowd that is nine tenths slaves. I guess DYING in chains is okay, then.

I don't think the new film was as good as the 1982 one, but it was at least entertaining.

My thought was that it'd be comparable to Kull the Conqueror, but it's less cheesy. You know — it's bad, but lacks the Narm Charm factor Kull had. My suggested way of watching it is to do it with much beer, friends, and comments.

I enjoyed it unironically.
