Greetings. This is the thread for requesting assistance with recovering a TV Tropes account for which you have forgotten the password.
Before posting here, please note that Get Known has a comprehensive set of instructions for managing your account. To summarize, password resets are limited as follows:
- If you have an associated email address, use the Lost Password link on the login screen to request a reset email. If that doesn't work, post here.
- If you do not have an associated email address but you are still logged in, you can register an email address and use it for recovering your password.
- If you do not have an associated email address, and have not used your previous account since September 18, 2013, we cannot verify your ownership for technical reasons.
- To verify ownership without an email address, and if you have used your previous account recently, you should be logged in on the same computer and/or Internet connection that you most recently edited or posted from.
- It is not currently possible for moderators to reset your password or change your registered email address. As a last resort, you may use our contact form
to send a message to "The Staff".

Log out, go back to the Get Known form and create a new handle with your old username.

Yeah, I had some family issues which resulted in me changing my password out of fears of doing something incredibly stupid on this site and I was wondering if I could get the password my old username, J Dogindy, back to the email address this account has.
I'm feeling a lot better, but I still want my "one mistake and you're banned" regulation to remain intact. If you all, however, feel it's better for me to stay gone, I'll be okay with it.
Please can you reset the password for user Anodyne? I don't have an email address for that account.

Bleh, I used to go by Vorthon here, but the last time I logged in on it was well before the email thing was implicated, and the last computer I remember logging in on it on was an old XP desktop that I don't really connect to the internet any more. I mean, So I guess I'm stuck with this unless you count contacting older accounts on other sites as verification. Like my Deviantart or Furaffinity account or something. Otherwise could I at least get the old account locked or banned or something? Yanno, close up loose ends and all that jazz.

I am currently unable to access my main account Gavs Evans 123 after clearing away a computer virus. Could I please request a password reset for that account?

I had made an account on here a while ago under the title of Radiant Moonlight, I was logged onto my account most times but on one day like I think last week I was logged off for some reason that I am not sure about.
It took me a week or so to just now comment because I was trying to find where I would post about this issue.
I do not have an email account connected to here, I believe.
I didn't get the opportunity to make contribute anything on the pages but my I did post on the forums.
The account I am using right now is an account from years ago when first heard about this website.
My apologies if any this information is unnecessary I am just trying to explain as much of the situation in the hopes I can get my regain access to my account.
