Good lord, I don't know which is funnier: the fact that almost the entire game consisted of taking a camera on an RC car through an action figure army diorama or three, or THAT SCENE.

That's... kinda rude. I mean, I enjoyed the episode, but if the creator requested it be taken down, and Retsupurae obliged, reuploading it is kind of a dick move.

Nature of the internet. That, and I have a feeling the uploader didn't know just why it was taken down in the first place and just wanted to share a funny thing.
I don't think Diabeetus and Slowbeef generally explain why they ever take certain riffs or vids down except when pestered about it, so maybe it wasn't even taken down by the original vid's owner's request. Could be they just thought it was a shit riff that didn't need to be on retsupurae.

Although to be serious, I'm not surprised in the slightest that their fanbase is immature or unwilling to let up on a retsupurae subject. In a way, retsupurae's always about making fun of people. And not in a whole MST 3 K way where the movies are so old and outdated that half of the humor was just how utterly bizarre they were, more like a "Look at this silly person in all his silliness. Look at him and laugh". And most of the vids they grab are recent and easily trackable to their origins, so it's very easy for a few overenthusiastic fans to actually go internet detective and gang up on their "victims".
Mind, it doesn't really excuse 'em by any means. And I might just be biased, since I always thought the vids where retsupurae were either in on the joke or just trying to showcase the odder side of the internet/youtube instead of making some kind of "critique" were their better ones.

To be clear, if our comment sections are anything to go by, we actually have a pretty good fanbase all things considered.
I think what happens is new people join up, don't get the memo and kinda fuck up the standard R Ps for everyone else. I like to believe it's a vocal minority given the awesome fan art and generally funny comments we get.
I've talked a bit with the Shenmue LP guy... expect to hear more tomorrow.
