This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

@Bulmabriefs144: Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The concern was that you were discarding valid YKTTW entries just because you created them and therefore felt like you owned them. Please remember that YKTTW is a collaborative process; you're making something for the wiki, not for yourself. Acknowledge and I'll remove your restriction.
@HBJP91: I read what you wrote to the other troper. I think you need at least a week time out from PMs. Post again here next Monday, and you'd do well to be on your best behavior in the interim.

Sure, I know this now (heck, I kinda figured it must be the case when these got chopped, and I got edit banned right after). Can I edit again?
Lord Satin, usually you can figure out if you remember what you did that day and the day before. As with me, remembering is probably half the problem of not doing it again.

That last one (Zero Context Examples) is a biggie. I dunno anyone who got edit suspended for poor spelling.

@mrplow: Bear in mind that it is our responsibility as moderators to make sure that everyone on the wiki follows the rules: that includes being civil and following the TV Tropes Customs. When someone doesn't follow the rules, we may suspend their privileges so we can talk to them and see if the problem can be corrected.
Let's take a look at the last few edits on your history.
Numbered Homeworld: "Nobody cares about Ewoks."
First, that's Natter, Conversation In The Main Page, and improper Example Indentation. Second, it's rude.
Genericist Government: "Which still makes Bail and autocrat since he inherited his position, and Leia from him. At least Padme had the decency to become senator for Naboo after she stepped down as Queen. Who voted for Bail again? The only difference between Bail and Palpatine is Bail takes better care of his skin."
Again, natter, and confrontational. You seem to be interested in telling us your opinion about stuff. That's not acceptable on main articles.

In short, it seems that you're on TV Tropes to complain about stuff. That's not our mission, and if that's what you want to use the wiki for, you should go elsewhere.
