This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Why am I totally banned?? Ok, I know I was a little persistent with troping the character Elder Cunnigham from The Book of Mormon as a Pale S Kinned Brunette, but why do they think he doesn't fit the trope?? His hair is black and his skin is pale. Isn't that enough?? I didn't mean to cause any trouble but I jsut don't get it! What can I do to fix this?? I want to edit again! @mariic: It's been a while for you, hasn't it. Long enough that I can't find any history of our prior communication, if any. Your suspension dates back from November, 2010, for refusing to stop spewing the idiotic Candle Jack meme all over the wiki. I'm willing to let bygones be bygones if you promise to leave off with the memes.
@Jakegothicsnake: Suspensions happen when you've demonstrated an inability to behave appropriately on the wiki and we wish to prevent further editing until we straighten things out. In this case, the proper course of action when you have a difference of opinion over a trope entry is to discuss it, not just add it back again and again. We call that an Edit War and it is rude — more importantly, it wastes time that we can better spend doing more important things.
The suspension will only be lifted if you agree to discuss the matter and be willing to accept that others might be correct in telling you that it's not an example.

Hey what's up. I just want to ask about the reasons of my ban. I think I know why.But I just want to be sure.
While being banned is never a nice thing to have. This ban is probably for the best given that I was spending too much time editing articles and on the ykttw working on tropes.
But I would like to know if it was possible for me to regain that right in the future If I behave correctly or if I prove that I am capable of a better and more ethical behaviour.
If not thanks regardless. I am grateful enough I wasn't forum banned or denied acces to the articles given that a lot of people I care about are there on the forums and are my main moivation to be here(on this site).

I think we'll have to restrict your contributions to the forums for a good while. Your English writing skills are not up to the level we need for the wiki articles. Your YKTTW notions do not quite get what tropes are, really. Also, the collaborative qualities of YKTTW seem to elude you at the moment.

I admitt that's true. I use mainly YKTTW as for brainstorming ideas and my mind works in a very messy way and that's not very good colaboratively speaking.
Just a question. When I get better at those skills I lack, Can I apply for a ban removal in the future?.
I am aware it won't be in the near future at all. I agree this vacations are for the best. I am just a bit worried they might be permanent as I am looking forward to become better and useful to the people here.

I know why I was banned. Aside from my own stupidity in staying up way past when I should have been asleep, my spelling was rather...poor. I've gotten better, and I use Google Chrome as my browser now.(It has a built-in spell check.) I know I was told I should use the "Help with English" Thread, but I did get a response when I asked about part of it and never got around to using it.
Anyway, could I get editing privileges back? I'll limit myself to fixing spelling and grammar errors for a while, if you want.

I'm wondering if my editing could be turned on again. I think I overstepped my boundaries on the Hard Rock page, but I promise not to do that again and me and the other person solved the problem over PM.
Unless there's something I'm not aware of that that I did wrong.

Yes, that is why you got suspended. I'm glad you worked it out via PM, but it is never okay to Edit War and we are very strict about not tolerating it. I'll lift the suspension on the promise of good behavior.
