This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Jeez, folks. This whole edit war thing is just annoying. Especially over something as ridiculous as whether two characters are a Big Bad Duumvirate or Big Bad + The Dragon. We have Discussion pages for a reason; they are where you take these arguments (not PMs unless someone refuses to use Discussion, and if it gets to that point, use Ask The Tropers to tell someone).
@Vermont: Not much else to say here. Follow the rules.
@ClassyMyths: Same, but for you, this is visit number three from the banstick. The first two were for being a dick in PMs. Now you've taken it to the wiki itself. I'm sorry, but we are not going to go through this a fourth time. Your ban is permanent unless Eddie decides otherwise.

^This is my third time being banned? Are you sure? I remember having my PM service turned for several months. About 3 or 4 weeks ago I asked if it could be turned off, but no one answered me. If I could send PM's I wouldn't have edited the page again. I would have discussed it through PM's. What else could I have done?

If I can't edit again, may I at least get my PM system turned on again? I got a message several months ago and I haven't been able to read it.

bernkastel 34, the fact that you evidently had trouble with capitalisation even in your previous post does not particularly reassure me. Request help in this thread, and if we see improvement, we can talk about lifting the suspension again.
rblwhtsrnm: We have a problem. Your editing pattern is full of improper edits. Your latest edit had you shoehorning Complete Monster, a YMMV trope in main pages. Subjectives do not go on main pages.
Second, you have a problem with Natter. Let me run through a few of your edits:
- Although he explicitly states that the potential host's power level is all he cares about, all of those we've seen taken (the unnamed woman, Gen'yūmaru) and planned to be taken (Itachi and Sasuke Uchiha) were quite the lookers. He seems to think beauty is directly proportional to power.
If an example is incorrect, Repair Dont Respond. Do not engage in conversation. Bullets are to be used for Example Indentation, not elaboration or arguments. Third level bullets are most likely to be natter. The opinion of the fangirls or the fans is irrelevant outside the subjectives.

OK, so I'm assuming I was edit-banned for edit-warring in the Fate/Zero thread, even though I was discussing it quite reasonably with Arha and am willing to accept whatever conclusion we come to....

@Cherry_Lover: Repeated edit warring over Fate Zero despite being suspended for this previously. You seem to feel like you own the page; that edits to it need to get your approval. This is not how our wiki works. Given that you've been here before for the exact same thing, we aren't feeling charitable. Your positive contributions to the wiki aren't worth the hassle of dealing with your issues.
@cthulhucalamari: The rules and policies of the wiki exist whether you take the time to learn about them or not. In your case, I'm seeing a large number of your edits reverted because they are in the wrong place (subjectives not in YMMV, for example) or consist of Natter. I don't know if you've been getting natterfy PM's from people, but it doesn't matter. If we see a pattern of bad edits, we suspend so you stop and come talk to us.
The wiki articles are not places to hold a conversation. Examples need to contain factual statements about the trope, as concisely as is reasonably possible. If you don't agree with the facts of an example, fix it, don't argue with it. And while you're at it, fix your punctuation. Sentences end with periods.

Well, I accept that perhaps I shouldn't have edited it back straight away, but I did discuss it with Arha, and we resolved the argument.
Also, it's not about me "owning the page", it's about basic common sense. If you change an edit that someone else made, you should discuss it with that person, not start a one-sided discussion in the forum which you don't provide any link to.
Also, what "repeated" edit-warring? It's only the one thing that could be called an "edit war", and I resolved that amicably with Arha.

Is there a place where I can see which tropes are YMMV or not or should I simply be more careful about whether the tropes are subjective?

@cthulhucalamari: There are several things. First, any trope that is subjective, Trivia, or otherwise doesn't belong on the main article, will have a banner saying so on its own page. Second, subjective tropes will appear on main work articles with red bullets. Third, whenever you edit a page, if it has subjectives that don't belong, there will be a note above the edit box.
