This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

ETA: Turns out my last block for bad edit summaries was four years ago. I would think that by now, having one bad edit summary in the intervening years is enough to own up to my mistake and be unblocked.

~Twentington: Back in 2013, Fast Eddie delivered an ultimatum: that you would deal with your anger management issues or face a permanent ban. Your problems on our wiki demonstrate a pattern, and you've come to our attention on more than one occasion since then that didn't quite merit a suspension, particularly on the forums.
All that said, you've also been a valuable contributor — one of our more prolific cleaners of problems. So you see the bind we're in. How many "final warnings" shall we issue before we start to look like the chumps? That's up to you.

~Bassman2: Not your grammar and spelling (at least not this time, unless you've been here before*), but whatever you thought you were doing in Trope Launch Pad, creating a bunch of garbage and ignoring all the hints that were hurled your way out of catapults.
*On that point, however, some IP research turned up interesting things. You've been here before, it seems, and not just on your prior account, Bassman. Does the handle Partytime ring a bell? Because we thought at the time that the similarities were due to a dynamic IP range, but then you edited the exact same articles, and here we are again in Edit Banned.
So, I think we've got to call it quits for ya. Sorry.

Two, our rules on Handling Spoilers are very explicit on the fact that spoiler markup is not permitted in any way above the start of the examples section. Three, you have now been banned twice for the exact same thing (namely starting an Edit War). As a result, even without that attitude it's pretty unlikely that we're going to reinstate you given that the first suspension failed to properly modify your behaviour on the site.

Rorosilky, you took it upon yourself to decide that the level names should be spoiler-tagged, and put the tags back after they were removed. It didn't occur to you, apparently, to check to see whether there was any sort of rule against what you did, and this is the fundamental problem here. Are you going to claim ignorance of each rule on our site after you break it, then edit war over it? I'm sorry, but that's not acceptable.
As an aside, I wonder why level names even need to go in the description of a video game.

Your file shows that you were warned for misuse of spoilers twice, the warning for which contains a link to the Adminstrivia.Handling Spoilers page I linked above. To try and claim ignorance of our rules regarding them with this in mind does not hold water.

Sorry. I did not know it was against the rules to holler several-year-old posts. Also, I was trying to help keep this wiki clean. When I found out I was banned, I read all of the rules I could find to see which one I could have possibly broken. Also, I did not know the posts were several years old.
And yet you apparently didn't see the one about not making another account to get around a ban.

I had this alt account before I got banned. Also, the reason I used this account was not to get around the ban, but to appeal through this thread. I tried emailing the staff multiple times, but they never responded.
