This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Hello, I seemed to have got banned in discussion. I'm not sure if its because in my comment I referenced having been Thumped or posting a Youtube video of "Springtime For Hitler" but I like to know why.

But the second comment wasn't me doing hateposting and is actually me reflecting what I think the movie might be.
I posted the "Springtime For Hitler" clip because I think the movie itself might be Sony's attempt at sabotaging their own production for some kind of quick money making scheme. From the premise, the choice of director, and the Twitter ad they did it makes me think of the movie "The Producers" and how the main characters goal was to produce a broadway play so bad that they would be reimbursed for the poor box office revenues.

Or maybe they know just how ridiculous the movie sounds and are applying a bit of reverse psychology to get people to watch it for the novelty factor. Regardless, your opinion is well-documented. Now please chill out so other people can have a conversation.

But I was pretty chill in that comment prior to the ban. Heck, everybody else was more angry than me at the film due to the unfortunate Twitter ad which reference a dark movie for the sole purpose of generating appeal. The comment I made in question does not reflect any anger towards a movie and just a playful reference to a trope/scene of a movie that summarizes the whole situation of The Emoji Movie.

Any particular reason I was suspended from editing? I've been on the site for years and have never had any issues before, so I'd like to resolve this. Thanks.

I did give what I thought was an adequate edit reason. The folders have since been restored but I haven't touched them again, not wanting to start an edit war. I just felt the pages are gonna blossom out of control if we add characters from every single episode, y'know?
That said, yes I probably should have asked someone or started a discussion on the issue before I acted. I've contributed a lot to those pages in the past, so I admit I may feel a sense of responsibility over them and that might have got the better of me.

We have a dedicated project thread for fixing pages that are excessively long. Can you use that instead of taking matters into your own hands and unilaterally removing entries?

Ideal and the Real
I found out that my editing privilege has been suspended, and I am unfortunately unaware of why this is.
I would like to know why and how to appeal this suspension please, and perhaps be informed of where I may have went wrong.
