This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

May I have my editing priviliges back?
I imagine this was over the natter over the breath of the wild trivia page. While I'll always be glad it did result in the page being changed for the better I recognize that there was a more peaceful and logical solution and I need to keep that in mind before I let stubborness get in the way again.

Contacting an admin and the people involved in the edit war and present our reasoning there instead of making the actual page a battlefield.

I was involved in an editing war regarding a no-context example. I was confused because the example in question was (at the time) present on similar trivia pages in the same no-context format. The issue has since been fixed on all of the pages with the problem.

Regarding the fan fiction, I was adding more information to the story of how that writer left Twisting the Hellmouth. (I was one of the people who witnessed the entire thing and followed Joe Hundredaire, Worldmaker, and about a dozen people on their walk-out over Demona's one-sided, agenda-driven moderation. The situation was nowhere near as one-sided as was presented on the page (which, as written, basically painted Joe and World and the rest of us as assholes who had no reason to complain about anything, much less a moderator turning her personal politics into moderatorial policy when the website rules said such things should never happen.)
Regarding Feminist Frequency, I was adding the fact that Anita Sarkeesian removed legitimate, well-supported and well-documented criticism of her research and conclusions from the comments sections of her videos — as well as comments regarding the embezzlement investigation she was subject to — and continues to do so to this day. This is all true and real. I mean, she's received some pretty crappy, misogynistic comments and deletes those, but she also has a habit of removing all criticism, period, and pretends it just doesn't exist. That's "Orwellian Editor", isn't it?
If either of those violated site rules, I apologize and won't do it again, whatever it was I did, but I was of the impression that accuracy was a good thing herebouts.

~An Ice Person 7: As usual, the advice is that just because something appears to be OK on another page does not mean it actually is OK. If you see something being done wrong elsewhere, the procedure is to fix it, not to assume that it's fine to do it on other pages too.
~Big Jared Monkey: The issue is that what you did came across as your own one-sided agenda-driven editing, and that's something we're not too hot about.
~Animefanboy 67: The issue is that your actions on the discussion page show a consistent pattern of that sort of behaviour. I am not sure if you have an issue with people not liking given characters, but reacting to it with hostility is not the answer. Furthermore, you have listed and exhibited issues with your grammar, so until we are sure you are up to standard in those areas we will not be releasing you.

Guessing my posting has been turned off because I don't know when to shut it. Been around too long not to know that, so all I can really say in my defense is that It won't be an issue anymore if you decide to turn it back on.

Technically, I guess my agenda was "Oh, well isn't that really one-sided." The Trivia page before I read like it was written by one of Demona's close personal friends. And then there were the edits done by a guy named "Worldbreaker."
I mean, a guy calling himself "Worldbreaker" commenting negatively about a story written by a guy calling himself "Worldmaker?" That doesn't seem like agenda-driven at all, right?
In any case, I apologize if that violated the rules or something. It wasn't my intention to import drama. Quite the opposite, in fact, I was trying to smooth out the drama.
I have dyslexia so not releasing me because of my grammar is ablest. Grammar isn't my strong point that is what dyslexia is. The fact that you aren't releasing me because of that shows me you aren't very sensitive to disabled people who struggle with grammar. How does it feel to discriminate against disable people? Don't be ablest it's not that hard to do be sensitive stop bullying me about my grammar. Do you want to be an ablest cyberbully?

We have made it clear that we expect the wiki portion of our site to be presented in grammatical English (except for the translation project, of course, which we expect to be grammatical in the relevant language(s)). When a person cannot handle that, we do not permit them to edit; their disabilities, if any, are irrelevant. We do not have the capacity to provide proofreading services for you, and there are plenty of people who do have disabilities who manage to edit responsibly.
That said, there is a topic, here, where you can ask for help with your edits. It's voluntary on the part of the troper body to provide that help, and we cannot guarantee that your use of that topic will result in a reinstatement of your editing privileges. However, it is an opportunity for you to demonstrate that you can write to an acceptable standard.
These terms are not negotiable.

~Big Jared Monkey: Our articles should be about the works, not the people who make them. Bringing in issues like whether someone is a Republican or how a content creator responds to comments on their videos is forbidden because it leads to arguments and makes it look like the wiki is taking sides.
Our role here is not to trope the latest controversy or hot off the press Internet flamewar. We officially take no notice of such things, and ban any attempt to do so.
