This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.
The Forum Rules apply here.
Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

~Cipher92: I assume, then, that you didn't notice the messages you received about grammar in your wiki edits?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I just did and it said I had bad grammar, is that so bad I had to be suspended?
Yes. We require proficient writing on the wiki. Your work isn't just for your own amusement but will be read by lots of people, and it makes us look amateurish if it's written poorly.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"O.k I will do better next time when I do some editing. Just tell me if I can have my suspension remove or tell me how many day will this last?
Hi, y'all, Yuihime here. I'd received some warnings about Conversation In The Main Page and failing to match the "voice" of the page, and then I logged on tonight to find that I'm suspended. Oops.
I don't really mind that I'm in time-out, but as long as I am, can I get some more specific advice about what I did wrong and how to avoid doing it again?
I wanted to inquire on the talk of Mondegreen if anyone understood how Eggman saying "snooping around as usual " on the Fandom Can't Have Nice Things article was a pun on something. Could not do so due to block. I don't sign on often so can't remember last edit and what might be wrong about it. Not sure how to check history. Wondering if mod could walk me through the issue so I know what to change if reinstatement is a possibility.
~Cipher92: This isn't about time, but about whether you can demonstrate proficient writing. Your posts contain numerous errors. If you would like to show us you can do better, post examples that you'd like to add to the wiki in this topic.
~Yuihime: You keep doing Example Indentation in Trope Lists wrong. What gives?
~Tyciol: Explain this, please, from TabletopGame.Witch Girls Adventures:
Oh that. Which half do you disagree with? Bella and the Bulldogs' writer Jonathan Butler's past work writing The Cuckold or Witch Girls' writer Malcolm Harris' past work writing The Shrinking Sorceress?
No "half", just the speculation about the sexual preferences of the author. This is not a tabloid website.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanExcuse me if I may, I went to the Get Help With English Here site and post something for a fanfiction trope to be added. So, do I wait for something to happen?
I am terribly sorry for the trouble I have wrought. If it is possible at all may I have leave to but send a few messages of farewell to a couple of people who have treated me very kindly? I swear on all that is precious to me that such missives would be but kind words of thanks and parting if such were allowed. Whatever the case is thank you for your time and I am sorry once again.
Thanks for the explanation, Fighteer! Clearly, I was looking for the wrong problems, then. I thought my situation was relevance (natter) or tone, and it was indentation instead? Oops!
Reviewing the indentation page, I can see where some of my errors were. I'll bookmark the indentation page and review it a few more times when I'm troping to make sure I don't do this again.
Thank you again for helping me with this! (edit: because I accidentally the grammar)

~Cipher92: Merely visiting the topic is not enough. We'd like to see improvement in your ability to post correct examples without proofreading.
~Laithelryn: You need professional medical assistance, and you won't be allowed to use the site again until you have completed a course of treatment. Here is a site you can visit.
~Yuihime: Very good. I should note that a "conversational tone" in edits is also inappropriate. I'll release your suspension.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"So how do I end my suspension on that site?

I mean you no disrespect but I think you may have misinterpreted what I said to give me such links? Certainly I feel consumed with sadness for the many ills that have fallen upon me at this time but not such as you seem to suggest. I am not very good at speaking clearly and for the confusion arising from that I am sorry. I am very sorry that I cannot say goodbye to my friends here but I suppose there is now nothing that can be done to resolve that.
Hi there.
I got a question. Normally if you post a post in 'Get Help With English Here' forum, you have some people help you correct the grammar that you posted, right? Since I'm still suspended, my question is who's going to help me edit the post in the related TV Tropes? (when that post has been corrected)
Thanks in advance.
You're right. That does sound unhelpful. I think I finally understand what I was doing wrong. Thank you for clearing up my misunderstandings; I was honestly unaware that "Zero-Context Examples" covered anything other than the trope name with nothing else or maybe a one- or two-word "explanation". I'm genuinely sorry for my mistakes.

Q: What Pokémon is good at treating colds? A: Cyn-Day-Quil®I... apparently got edit-banned for "Conversation on the main page"?
I was clarifying the problems with a debatable entry, so I should have used the discussion page instead, yeah? Do I then move the entire example over to the discussion page? The rules aren't really clear on that specific point.
Not all those who wander are lost.Actually, the rules are quite clear. Repair Dont Respond exists for a reason.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Hello, I would like to know why I was banned. I got some messages about not indexing things properly, is it because of that? I do have trouble figuring out where to put things sometimes.
Hello, I'm very new here (just joined a week or so ago), and I had some trouble with password authentication/ recaptcha when first signing in, although I don't recall having any other obvious problem. I sorted out my password issue and signed in correctly only to find that I had been automatically banned from contributing. I'm not really sure exactly why this happened, and would really appreciate it if a moderator could explain to me the reason for my probation. Thank you. I hope to soon get a response.
The ink flows into a dark puddle, just move your hand- write the way into his heartOkay, according to that, then I should have integrated my clarification into the original entry:
"If it's to correct a misconception or to add more information, it can be integrated into the existing entry."
My bad. And I've read that page too, idk how I screwed that up.
I'll try to do that in future, if y'all decide to unban me. I get what I need to do now, to avoid conversation/natter.
Not all those who wander are lost.Well, I don't know how I got banned. This is weird. All I know is I hate it when other users try to make false information. I didn't do it. I know those shows and movies. Usually, When somebody logs in, It would read an error message like "Your account has been suspended for the following reasons: (Such as Edit Wars, and so on)."

You were suspended for an Edit War on Marsupilami. That discussion over the network should've taken place on the article's discussion page.
For the record, Wikipedia has the show on CBS.
Could anyone tell me why I was suspended and if possible have it remove.
