This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

@Ominae: Characters.The Presidents Last Bang you didn't add any descriptions to any of the characters leaving the page incomplete and riddled with ZCEs. Descriptions are part of the format of a character page.
@k9feline7: You've been edit warring on Series.The Amazing Race. This is the second time you've had issues with edit warring.
@Nate The Great: Why do you keep throwing out ZCEs from works you've never seen based on partially remembered Spoony episodes? Even after being warned that you should know better. You've been here long enough that you shouldn't be still doing the things you are.

Hello, I was suspended from editing and I would like this reversed please. I suspect it was because of my edits on the page about Richard Dawkins. I have two protests regarding that. First, the edit claims the arguments in his book 'the God Delusion' are rational; they are not. Even among atheists there are some who think the arguments are shaky. Furthermore, the book comes across as bigoted. Asking Richard Dawkins for a view on religion or religious people is like asking a member of the Ku Klux Klan for a view on black people; there's too much negative bias to get a fair picture. The tropes I added were about the work, not the man himself (though I'm not sure about one of them). I will factor in any feedback and changes you recommend. May I suggest a 'Your Mileage May Vary' page for Richard Dawkins tv tropes page.

@tropelion: Why have you been spamming Zero Context Examples onto Characters.Warhammer Vampire Counts? You seem to have far more issues beyond violating the Rule Of Cautious Editing Judgment for one man. You seem to have no idea of how to properly write and example.

Doesn't work that way. Your opinions about Dawkins are not relevant to the article about him. You are using the wiki to bash a real person, and that is not permitted. You also have problems with Zero Context Examples with regards to the Characters.Warhammer Vampire Counts article.

Thank you for the quick responses and taking the time to point out the zero context examples that I entered. I keep editing my posts on this thread because I am trying to explain myself. It has been a stressful time and some of that has unintentionally come out in when and how I edit here.
I will rectify those Zero Content Examples, as I have put proper examples in before (it was sloppy of me not to do so those times) and keep this in mind for the future. I used Zero Context Examples as I was in a rush when I was editing; I had to get to work beforehand (poor time management on my part). As for the matter of Richard Dawkins, yes I do have issues with the man himself; though it is his work I am criticizing here. It is almost certainly correct the argument in his book is bigoted, and I question whether the arguments he presents can be called rational; which would be like calling the racism in the movie 'Birth of a Nation' rational. I will refrain from editing his page unless it gets a 'Your Mileage May Vary' (in regards to his works) in which case I will edit only that page in ways in accordance with the site rules and guidelines. With this in mind I request to be able to edit again and rectify my mistakes.
P.S. @shimaspawn: I find your first comment on my writing ability unnecessarily harsh, given I have written proper examples before and this time is a case of mistakes with my writing. Also, I'm surprised that my actions have provoked the response of two mods at once rather than one. I am curious, why was I approached by two rather than one?

P.S. The zero context examples under Combo Platter Powers list on the Warhammer Vampire Counts page was in the same style as the one on the page for the movie 'Dracula Untold'. Since that was allowed to remain as is I assumed it would be the same for the page I edited.
That is not how it works. Just because there is a mess on one page it is not an excuse for you to make a mess on another page. The mods can't be everywhere. What it means is that you should clean up both pages.

Pardon me, I was ignorant that it was a mess in the first place on the 'Dracula Untold' page. I shall remember this in future situations if I encounter a messy page. Furthermore, I will do my best to resolve the issues you have shown me.

I apologize, I did not mean to spam Zero Content Examples. I got sloppy due to having other demands on my time and not managing it efficiently to edit this site properly. Looking back I suspect I may have been rude. I also apologize for my bluntness and possibly invasive questions. I respect if you want to give me a "cooldown" ban; I'm not asking for one, just saying if that is the case may I be informed that it is so? Also if it is a permanent ban may I know that please? I also apologize for my part in the somewhat Edit War on Dawkins' page. What method would you recommend for disagreements on wording?
In addition, I suspect I offended one or both of you at a personal level. While I am sure you are of the high calibre that you wouldn't let personal beliefs or feelings effect professional conduct, administrators are people too and I respect that. I say this in case while I have a low opinion of Dawkins and that book of his, for all I know you may have a high opinion on him and that book of his. If that's the case, I think we'd have to agree to disagree regarding the personal views and I would offer an apology for feelings of offence that I caused. I don't mean to point fingers or accuse, I'm just saying what it could look like and trying to resolve this issue with you.
Possible differing views aside, I apologize for the mistakes I made in editing and criticizing the person rather than the work (I tried not to but got caught up in it). In future I shall provide explanations for all examples I add, not bash a real person on Tv Tropes, regardless of my personal views on them, and keep Rule Of Cautious Editing Judgement at the forefront of my mind if I refer to their work here. I shall also read the FAQ. As directed by the site; I request that my editing privileges be restored. So may I please have them back?

- Historical Domain Characters: While the movie depicts their behavior/personality as such, they are greatly exaggerated for black comedy purposes.
@Ominae: Of the eight tropes you have given updated write-ups to, only one is no longer Zero Context Examples. Until you can tell me which ones are wrong, why they're wrong, and fix them, you are staying banned.
I'll give you a hint, word count doesn't matter if you aren't actually talking about the right subject.

I would like to make amends to get my suspension lifted. I know that what I specifically did wrong was state that I would keep deleting the ()s no matter what. Again I apologize for that.
I couldn't help noting that the person I was edit warring with has also been suspended over this. I've had several conflicts with this troper in the past, and what it all boils down to is a controversial Base Breaker team on The Amazing Race, who were popular enough to appear in two seasons. I love this team, the other troper hates them. We've never been able to compromise or see eye-to-eye on this team. If I may be so bold, I'd like to suggest a disinterested third party to arbitrate between us, perhaps someone who either doesn't watch the show, or managed to feel indifferent to this team.
I can't promise to stop ZC Es, that's the sort of thing that everybody trips over every so often. All I can do is promise to try harder and at least increase the time interval between slip-ups, right?
Doing this again and decided to rewrite them to make it better than yesterday.
Will wait for a mod decision, but I may take the initiative to correct something if I find it.
