This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Hi, I would like to be able to edit again, and also know what I did wrong? I have a few ideas as to why, but I won't know for sure unless I am told.

Elkhorn, here's your pattern. You go into threads and say the most obnoxious things you can think of, just to get a reaction from people. The final straw was when you reported someone for attacking you back. The fact that you'd cite Encyclopedia Dramatica merely makes this more obvious. Since I know they hang on my every word, let me note that the "ban an entire country" thing was hyperbole, but we can and will crush any socks made by anyone after a ban, no matter how many IPs that involves, and no we aren't idiots and understand the concepts of dynamic IPs, shared computer pools, hotspots, and stuff like that.
None of it is relevant to your case. Your pattern is classic, and I have absolutely zero confidence that you will shape up given another chance.

Hello. I would like to be able to edit again please. I know what I did wrong and I promise that I will fix it. I will thoroughly read the relevant pages on how to edit pages and I will be careful not to make any mistakes again in the future. If I do make any mistakes, then it is my fault and I apologise in advance for any that I may make.

Hello all. I have been edit banned for quite some time now, and I was wondering if my grammar had improved enough for the ban to be lifted.
As per your request I have been going to the Help With English forum, and present this, this, and this. Also, for the third one, I do not know why the indent isn't working, but I know that context works on the wiki proper.

~Fighteer, Well since I was adding replies to the entry I was making it a conversation instead of just a post so I probably should have just deleted the initial post and included the information in the "reasons why" section. Indent wise I don't need the triple dot indent probably just in general since it starts to become replies to replies.
I've been recently suspended.. well actually that pretty goes without saying if I'm here. But anyway, I was wondering if I could be suspended and if it's not too much trouble: can someone help me go back in correct what I did? I understand that that it's probably a mixture of poor grammar and attempting to figure out how to edit as I go,(In hindsight, even I should known better.) but I would really appreciate it if someone helped point out what exactly I did wrong. And as a side note: I am really really really times infinity sorry.(You said, have fun even though something are taken seriously.) But anyway, I would really like to be allowed to continue what I've been doing(Minus the whole screwing up thing.) and additional aid will be appreciated.

~Blue96: Unfortunately, our "have fun" mandate runs into problems when your wiki editing forces other people to clean up the articles. The playground only works if we treat it with respect.
Ultimately, it's not up to us to fix your English writing; it's up to you. We do make a thread available (here) where you can post things you'd like to add to the wiki and have them critiqued by the community. Use that thread to demonstrate acceptable proficiency and we can restore your editing privileges.

If the edits you propose in the Help with English thread are of sufficient quality, then other tropers will add them. Once you've made a few proposals without significant errors, we can release your suspension.

Hello, I've been suspended from editing for some years. I don't even remember what for and I left the site for eons after having once being a contributing member. May I have the editing power restored?

I just created an account a couple or few days ago and I wanted to add a character or two to the WMG: Death Battle Suggestions page, but I got an 'Editing Suspension' page instead.
I'll promise to use my best grammar and spelling, as well as be nice and behave. (Though, I'm pretty new here still and I have, as of yet, to learn the ropes of being a proper troper, or whatever you call such people.)
So is there a grace period I have to wait for before editing pages? Like I said, I'm like... NEWBIE new to this. >_<;;
