This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

@Septimus Heap: I'm also sorry about those two; I think I started indenting examples properly at some point (and even might have corrected a few cases of improper indentation), and I'll also be careful not to use Word Cruft anymore (which is actually a problem I have when conversing in Real Life).

I've been banned for being too offensive apparently. I'm quite aware of how heated I become whenever I get into arguments regarding fair play and my overt and extensive use of foul language, but the incident that broke the camel's back for you mods was against someone who didn't give me a straight answer and decided to reply entirely in youtube links to the point that I had offended him with some colorful language which I no way meant every word of, since I'd assume he'd take it in stride due to the fact that he was trying to be funny with using videos to respond to my queries and that me doing so was simply to express my annoyance on his antics in a verbose manner.
To me, it seems a bit too unfair for this to be the last straw since the troper in question was making light of me.

What another troper may or may not have done is irrelevant. Your behaviour is entirely on you.
Now do you want to explain why we should tolerate posts like that?

Truth be told, I'd actually decided to take a self-imposed hiatus from editing for a while even before I found out about my suspension.
But it would still be nice to be able to clear everything up in the meantime, namely that I apologize for being careless and inattentive—not malicious—with my Zero Context Example situation.

I was wondering if my grammar had improved enough to lift that ban.

For one thing, the first one was against a troper who would not listen to what others would say and despite repeated attempts by others to get him to improve or clean up his act; he would continue to remain as he was. So eventually I just stopped pointing out the problem and his flawed writing style to him entirely and did my best to limit my interactions with him as much as possible, which eventually worked out in the end despite a few flare-ups that nevertheless quickly die down due to the both of us frequenting the same thread.
As for the second one, as I said earlier; the guy was making light of me by deigning to give me a straight answer to my queries. So I lost my temper in a manner that would not make me seem like an immature brat or a softskin who would cry for help the moment someone says a few mean things directed to them.

~Peridonyx: I'll be happy to lift your suspension now that you've had the ZCE policy explained. Just remember that all examples must state how the trope applies, or they are not proper examples. Commenting them out hides them so that a troper editing the article will know that they require expansion.
~Questor: If you think someone was rude to you, you report them, you don't yell back. Your posts were so grossly over the line that I don't see any reasonable argument for allowing you back... certainly not to Forum Games.
~Darthrai: Our tolerance for your Pokemon antics is all but used up. As far as I can tell, you're the only person on this wiki carrying on a crusade to get Pikachu declared as a Scrappy, a Base Breaker, or anything else like that. Further, your actions constituted an Edit War over an unreleased game and what appears to be a willful misinterpretation of a trope. If we give you yet another chance, it'll be the last. Is this anything but crystal clear?
~Advanced Irony: We can credit that your action was not malicious, but your justification is anything but explanatory. I'll release your suspension, but please ask before poking at things you don't understand.
~The Great Duck: I'd like a promise from you that you'll leave Ask The Tropers alone except to ask questions. Participating in the discussions there doesn't seem to be your strong suit. I'll also consider lifting your posting suspension on the condition that you leave that stupid Berserk Button thread alone.
~Kingofsouls: I noticed a few grammar errors in your last submission to the Edit Banned thread that were not caught, and you still seem to be making indentation and ZCE errors. Give it one or two more tries, and I'll try to keep an eye on what you're writing.

Is this a case of repeated rule-breaking (Edit War and misusing tropes), or a case of persecuting me over repeated criticism of Pikachu? If it's the former, then I'm sorry, and I'll make absolutely sure to be careful from now on. However, if it's the latter, then I probably don't have a full understanding of the problem. TV Tropes seems to be an outlet for free speech, and there is information and evidence backing up Pikachu's nature as a Base Breaker (such as popularity polls); are there any related wiki rules that I should look at?

In response to the previous statement addressed to me, I get the page removal and I will wait a while until I restart. Second of all it was not a self reccomadation, I have no idea who wrote that, I just think it is a wonderful fic and I decided to reccomadation it.

Yeah sure, unless a discussion directly involves I have no problem staying away. (And by directly involving me, I mean regarding any edits of mine or pages that I am working on, if that makes sense. Or if for some reason the person is addressing me in the ask question.)
As for the berserk thread, I already said I intend to stay away for a very long time. Like I said, no time in the next year or so, and that's assuming the thread still exists at that time or that I ever even become interested in it. Considering how most forum games go, it'll probably be buried beneath tons of inactive pages (and I'd have no intention of necroing it).

I understand. I'm sorry and I can definitely avoid making any such destructive edits in the future, as long as it doesn't involve deleting any existing info about Pikachu's Base Breaker status that isn't overly negative.
Well, here I am again.
I take it this has to do with the altercation I was having with rodneyAnonymous, and as I told Willbyr in private, and as juvenile as an argument as it is, he did in fact start it.
In case anyone doesn't want to fish through the threads, I've been pushing up all of the deadclock threads when they've been sitting around for a while since I know that some of the mods have said that they can just forget about them. That's fine; I try not to just mindlessly bump, but usually comment on how a crowner is going, or asking if we should set up a crowner or close shop or etc. rodney slipped in a remark that I was being an "impatient child", which is a level of passive-aggressiveness that I have no tolerance for, especially when it's so uncalled for, so I called him out on it. And, well, here we are.
In the future, though, I'll go ahead and report out-of-line comments instead of responding to them, since that will just lead to situations like this.

I just started on this and I've been suspended for disagreeing with a moderator on a discussion. I'm not really appealing because the moderation style on this site is consistent with that of a site I don't want to spend time trying to contribute to, but I'd just like to say congratulations, you managed to discourage me from wanting to be a part of this community. I'll show my anger by re-enabling ad block on this wiki. Take that.
If you're going to behave like that just because we want to present Islam as being more than just a religion of terrorists, then we don't want you around.

I just noticed my editing has been suspended. This might have to do with my adding third bullet points to previous examples? I'm not entirely sure why, I can't recall an exact example of what the issue with my editing was.

I understand what the issue was, but I thought that they were the appropriate place to put the third bullet point. It dealt with the second bullet point, making me think if I put it as the latest bullet point, it would feel out of place because it dealt with a previous issue.
So, how about that un-suspention. I've been wondering about why I was banned and got an answer. But now can you tell me when I will be unbanned?
