They suddenly became fans. Similar things have happened in real life (though not as extreme). You pump that much information into the social media network, and people are going to take an interest. Especially with Miho.
Huh, new comic. That was fast. And who was complaining about slow plot development? The obvious implication here (since Kotone is one of the copies of Miho) is that this is Miho's story. That starts to give us a timeline, but it's still a bit vague. Recently enough to have metal ships, long ago enough that air travel wasn't yet commonplace.
Kotone is one of Miho's clones? Where did you get that from? I thought Miho was just doing one of those oddly specific stories which make it obvious she's talking about herself (we must have a trope for that).
All Ill Girls are Miho clones. That's a large part of the point. And to be more specific, here the cops say to Piro "You're not a registered fan of any of her major representations, except for one in a game that hasn't been released yet." This is when he was caught trying to visit Miho, so yeah, the cop is saying that Kotone is a Miho clone.
Sheesh. The Schedule Slip has made it nigh impossible to keep track of all these vaugely worded throwaway lines that only get light shone on them a hundred pages later. -_-
Fucking old-world standards.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987I can't tell if Kimiko's hitting her because she's mad at her for (apparently) killing Piro or for being so hard on herself.
Given that it's Kimiko, she knows that just because Piro forgot his phone it doesn't mean he's dead, and that means she's gonna slap some sense into Miho verbally or physically.
One of the recurring themes of this strip seems to be that it takes outside observers providing their own insight in order to break the cycle that all the others find themselves in. Happened with Erika, happened with Miho's fans and Miho to a lesser extent, and now it's gonna fully happen to Miho.

Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Recently started reading this. How many pages are there total? I just got to 970.
"Doki Doki Lit. Club" is a happy game where nothing bad happens. seriously tho? not for the faint of heart.Currently, 1409 including everything (omakes Dead Piro Days, etc.) according to the front page's "previous comic" link.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Just got into four digits, so I'm not that far off.
My first impression is that this is a damn sad story.
"Doki Doki Lit. Club" is a happy game where nothing bad happens. seriously tho? not for the faint of heart. It's pretty sad, yes. But also frustratingly sparse on elaboration of plot points.
Am now caught up. The most recent comic makes much more sense in context...
It saddens me greatly that the Megatokyo Forum is mostly a ghost town.

As far as I can tell, weekly pages are the norm.
"Doki Doki Lit. Club" is a happy game where nothing bad happens. seriously tho? not for the faint of heart.Poor Ping. And hopefully Junko can put fix the wifi once she calms down.
Update. is Yutaka's mom yet another retired magical girl? Sure sounds like it. Also, sheesh, her speech patterns.
The fact that she (like Miho) is implying that real m-girls were significantly less pure than they're portrayed on tv (if someone gains power from love, what do you think is going to happen?) leads me to believe that yes, she knows what she's talking about. Meimi mentioned other magical girls here when she needed someone to shrink Zom-Zom. Though Yutaka's mom is named Ririka according to the transcripts, so she's probably not "Cha-san."
Yeah, her way of speaking is painful to me.
Damn, what use is a RSS feed if it's not updated as soon as the comic is up?
(and I mean not updated server-side; even when I refresh it doesn't show the new comic)

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."
Wow, it's been a really long time since I've seen most of this.
So Ping uploaded a bunch of pictures and the fans recognized Miho from something they already knew? Or they suddenly *became* fans?
