Funky tune that, sadly, overstays its welcome. Apart from the solo in the middle of the track there's not much variety to it, 3/5.

Fairly typical post-rock guitar jangling is given a different atmosphere to the usual melancholy fare via energetic, pulsing drumbeats and a heavy layer of glitchy electronic processing. The result sounds tense and tetchy, like the music you'd hear in the trailer for an especially gritty action movie. 6.5/10

Getting really strong Disco vibes off this, fery catchy, upbeat and funky. Ends abruptly, though, 4/5.

Odd tribal percussion mixed with an electronic beat and chanting. It's something. 7/10.

A gritty track with a real funky instrumental from Ice Cube's best album. Good stuff. 8.5/10

Lonnie Liston Smith - A Chance For Peace

Lonnie Liston Smith sings, but his vocals take the supporting role on this track, it feels more like an instrumental. The funky beat that serves as a framework has enough meat on it for the end product to not feel repetitive, 4/5.

P.S. Man, this is, like, third song in a row for me that has Funk in it.

Ludicra - The Undercaste

Warning: 10 minutes long.

4/10. I prefer having something that makes metal listenable to go with the technicality.

4.5/10. I thought it was just all right. It was kinda repetitive and forgettable for me. Also, it reminded me of elevator music.

Like the bouncy indie rock rhythm, but the vocals are rather annoying and the composition feels unfocused, the whole song is really disjointed, 2/5.

We all have that one exception to our rules, don't we? In my case, I very rarely have any patience for musicals, but Hamilton has something from my perspective that other musicals don't. I can't really sum it up beyond Lin-Manuel Miranda being a genuinely talented composer who brings a real charm to his compositions, including this little ditty - an upbeat British Invasion-styled tune that sounds like it could have been written for The Kinks, perfect for a Laughably Evil personification of colonial Britain. 8/10

5/10. I get the appeal, but this genre just isn't my thing. Overall, I'm just kinda neutral towards the song.

Pretty nice. It's nothing to write home about, but that's what makes its charm, if that makes any sense… Just a little song you can hum smiling on the way home. Like the reflect of a different, more carefree era.

I like it. Not really my favorite genre of music, but I've been meaning to listen to Led Zeppelin to see what all of the hype is about. The composition is great. Nothing like good ol' classic hard rock. 9/10

It's about everything you could want from reggae - catchy, chill and infused right to the roots with Rastafarian spirituality. Not much more to say, especially since Marley is one of those artists who's been discussed to death. 6/10

50/100 - Opens like an extremely ominous version of the backing track of a hip hop number, mellowing out into a downbeat groove, occasionally interspersed with Hans Zimmer style grating drones. It's a cool idea but it feels somewhat incongruous or at times stylistically conflicted.
