I… don't really have much to say. This is just really pleasant and relaxing, and the singer's voice is incredibly soothing.
An Innis Aigh (Scottish traditional song)

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.10/10. Even without understanding the lyrics, the instrumental and and vocal performance is just impossibly beautiful and emotional and unlike other traditional songs, this one has a clear structure.
Macklemore ft. Skylar Grey - "Glorious"

Macklemore is cool. I'm not exactly a fan but I would definitely take him over the many, many crappy rappers we have nowadays. That said, the song is cute. It's a pretty standard but heartwarming rap song. I give it an 8/10. The video gets a 10/10, though. It was absolutely adorable.

Quintessential 80's dance pop, uncomfortably so, 3/5.
Jeremy Soule - Nerevar Rising (The Elder Scrolls series main theme):
Review either.
Spiral out, keep going.6/10: Skyrim version. Pretty decent main menu music that sets the mood for Skyrim, but it never does much for me in particular.
Andy Stott - Faith in Strangers
Another green world. The instruments are okay, catchy, even, but the lyrics don't really do anything for me. Still, 7.5/10.
6/10. A servicable tune that is suitable for the videogame, if not particularly creative and repetitive.
Everything about this song clicks. While I can remember when all the stations in the United States would play it to death back in 2013/14, there was a good reason it was a hit, and ushered in more DIY artists afterwards. It just works. 9/10.
8/10. I've never heard this song in full. I'm glad I did because this is a pretty good song. Edwin Starr's voice is pretty good and the lyrics are still pretty relevant today.

75/100 - Perfect mix of sparse backing instrumentation and wild, free-flowing lines that give few shits about following rhythms or accessibility.
: This is neat stuff. I was not at all surprised to learn Illogic has collaborated multiple times with Aesop Rock - he deals in similarly abstract, verbose rhymes, though judging by this song Illogic is more focused lyrically, compared to Aesop's tendency to wander around in stream-of-consciousness mode. The floaty susurration of the beat fits such contemplative lyricism like a glove. 8/10
: Ranges from slow and doomy to lightning fast, but regardless of speed there's a tasty, tasty layer of guttural grime covering the entire track. In addition to sounding sufficiently eeeeevil, I also need to give props to the band for making the abrupt, massive tempo changes sound mostly natural, which takes skill. 8/10

Tastes better on the way back down.A Prog Black Metal track that balances well the melodicity and energy of both genres. The riffing may be a bit weak, but it serves the purpose, 4/5.
Spiral out, keep going.3/10: I like a very particular sort of metal, and this is not it.
Another green world.I thought The Ooz was pretty hit or miss, but Dum Surfer was one of my favorite tracks. It gets across a weird, raw energy that a lot of the rest of the album lacks, and stands out to me as one of the best songs on there. I'm still not totally in love with Archy's lyricism, but that's not really the main point of King Krule anyhow. 7/10?
Talking Heads - The Great Curve
"And kung fu is a terrible way to run a company" - alliterator7/10. It's pretty decent. It's catchy and the instrumentation is nice.
8/10. I really like the instrumentation of this track. It's great. The lyrics are great too.

It's 12 Minutes.

7/10: It sure is twelve minutes. Like the rest of good kid, m.A.A.d city, it works better in the context of the album. That said, it's still plenty emotionally compelling.
Another green world. In the days before Scott Walker became one of music's most reliable Nightmare Fuel Station Attendants, his music was often still quite dark, but it was a melancholy darkness - you get teary-eyed listening to old Walker, as opposed to wide-eyed with fear. The arrangement here is a wee bit immobile and dull, but Scott's wonderful warm baritone is so captivating you can mostly forgive it. 6/10, but Scott himself shoulders no responsibility for that relatively low score.

Tastes better on the way back down.Fifteen minutes... okay. It's decent, a light atmospheric tune from Japan but is the length worth it? 6/10.
7/10. It certainly sounds like it belongs in a Batman series set in the future. What with the electronic-ish feel and all. It's one of those pieces of music that gets you pumped up for something. That said, despite it being so short, it felt a bit too repetitive after a while. But that just might be me.
Word's second most famous attorney with a bird-related name.A serviceable and upbeat tune that ends quickly enough before it gets too repetitive, 3/5.
A song from the "Sandpit Generals" movie.
The original, by Dorival Caymmi
The Russian cover, by Несчастный случай.
Spiral out, keep going.Eh, it's nothing special. Far too repetitive for me, though, and the low audio quality didn't exactly help me enjoy it, either. I'd probably enjoy it more if I could understand it, though in all honesty I've got no idea. 6/10 I'll give the second one a 7/10 though; I had a much better time listening to it than the first.
O vendetta di Dio -Resident Evil, Revelations

Sounds pretty operatic and sinister. I've never played the game but I can see how this would lift a scene during an intense moment.
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker Theme
As you can tell, I'm in the mood for Batman Beyond.
It's a good opening theme for a cartoon. Catchy enough to be memorable, epic enough to fit the main character, 4/5.
Леонид Утесов - У черного моря (Leonid Utesov - By the Black Sea)
Spiral out, keep going.
I've always been of the opinion that Linkin Park are the definition of "meh". They don't deserve all the fiery hate, but nor do they really deserve plaudits or anything - they're just generic as all hell. What this song serves to prove is that, even in an alternate universe where nu metal never existed and LP were just a vaguely electronic alt-rock band, they'd still be very edgy and very "meh". 5/10
Crowded House - Fall At Your Feet
Tastes better on the way back down.
