Bloody hell that's a lot of likes in less than a day.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerFnished Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir so posting my thoughts on it now. I never played the original so this was my first experience with it and I enjoyed it a lot. Its story holds up really well and I feel the dub actors did a great job though the romance could've been expanded a little more, especially with Mercedes/Ingway. The soundtrack was fine, none of the music really caught my attention except for Leventhan's Sad Battle Music.
Gameplay is good though I haven't tried out the original style which I hear is significantly different from how Leifthrasir handled it. Least favorite character to play as is definitely Cornelius, favorite character to play as is a toss-up between Mercedes and Velvet.
So I've been getting into MOTHER because I've read and enjoyed some of Itoi-san's essays (even if they can be pretty long-winded), and I'm so frustrated at these mechanics. Seriously, I lose in battle, only to start back at the house?! And by the time I walk across the gigantic overworld map back to where I left off, all my HP is gone. Fuck, I hate JRPGS.
Thats unfair to single out JRP Gs like that. A lot of JRP Gs use Save Anywhere and such, like as far back as 20 years ago.
That is just cause it is an old game.
/v/'s Video Game Suffering Chart◊.
Seems pretty accurate, especially in 70 an and up by 30 over in terms of suffering, though Zero and X should be switched around.

Watch SymphogearAre you playing the original Mother or Earthbound? If it's the first one especially, well it's an old JRPG, so it's gonna end up being pretty dated.
Mother 3 is what you want to play if you want to see what Itoi is really capable of.
Poor Valiant Hearts guy. :(
Watch SymphogearRidley taking up 4 whole blocks on the chart
I really want to know how Evony is not only still around, but can afford to pay for ads during playoff baseball game broadcasts.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Wait, seriously?
Yeah, the ads feature "Genghis Khan" and some Mongols sitting around discussing strategy, and then suddenly...zombies. (Apparently there's a zombie-themed expansion or something.)
I suppose it beats half-naked ladies or illegally using Pokemon art, but still...

Wow this is Capcom of all people, It’s nuts to see them of all people saying no to them. I might have to take a look at it when it hits pc.
This is the same company that gated off the real ending to Asura's Wrath behind DLC lol.
Good for them not caving into that shitty trend.
My respect for Capcom came back for a little bit.
"We are just like Irregular Data. And that applies to you too, Ri CO. And as for you, Player... your job is to correct Irregular Data."From what I know, the reason for that was that the Real Ending for Asuras Wrath was supposed to be a full length second game entirely, but with the first game not selling well, Capcom wanted to complete asuras story without having to spend money on a full new game.
Still shitty, but at least it was something to avoid the game ending on a cliffhanger forever.

Watch SymphogearSilly question but are there any British developed games that have a British feel to them? I mean opposed to the games that you can easily mistake as coming from America.
There's the Fable games.

I don't contribute here any more, but is Shadow of Destiny any good?
Here's something telling I've found with regards to free-to-play, pay-for-bonuses games. I'm currently into Love Nikki - Dress Up Queen, a dress-up game that I like despite the silliness and bad translation, and I've liked playing it free. Pretty soon I found obstacles all about and I'm immediately told that I can buy my way past any of them, but here's the thing: I enjoy the obstacles. They put more onus on getting the challenges right the first time and put a natural limit on my play time. It gets obnoxious when I have to grind the same quest repeatedly for an item needed to advance, but still paying would feel like cheating.
I like the game, and I want to pay something to the creators, but it feels like it would be skeevy and unsporting. I may buy some of the unique one-off outfits (by the nature of the game, gameplay and cosmetics are not separable).
I know the game gets plenty of money from other players, but for me its payment system is self-defeating. I think Extra Credits mentioned this in one video.

Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years. So, I managed to beat Kingdom Hearts Final Mix yesterday. It's a pretty decently fun game. I liked the combat system and the graphics were pretty good. The story wasn't amazing but it was entertaining. The characters were decent too.
Now that I'm done with the game, I can either replay some old games or play some new games I have that I haven't started on.
I hate time trials... I'm never gonna finish my Crash 3 playthrough at this rate. Fucking Deep Trouble...
FC: SW-1445-0294-1719/PSN: TekkenGirl4Lyfe/Currently playing: Fate/Samurai RemnantI started KHII a few days ago and I'm really enjoying it a whole lot. Combat feels a lot more fluid.
I think the story's a bit better than One, although the level design feels a bit more linear to me, and chests seems more obvious.
I just visited Twilight Town for the second time, and was planning on spending all day trying to get though as much of the game as I could, but things came up and I ended up not getting to play it at all.

"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobSo, I just started replaying Deus Ex: Human Revolution and I just finished the first mission. I managed to stop the terrorist situation without losing any hostages. Of course, I killed a lot of people including the leader. .
Spinning off from this post in Chatterbox: Anime and Manga.
Is it true that there are RPGs where characters can gain "titles" with actual effects in the gameplay?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.

Since you're in Australia like me, I can highly recommended this deal website.
They don't sell directly and instead link to good deals.
From a quick skim there's a few ongoing PS 4 deals.
