Mm, sounds like a plan then.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Huh. I've been pronouncing Ramuh's name Rah-muh all this time, rather than Ra-moo as is apparently proper.
I know, I was like DA FUQ when I heard it.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I don't care how they say it, I'll still pronounced it Rah-muh, and Halone like H + alone. Because I'm sorry, when your supposed 'war god' has a name that is pronounced hal-o-nay, I'm going to laugh at your war god and their impotent efforts to smite me.
I'm wondering if learning Eye for an Eye is even worth it. The wait times for DPS duties are so damn abysmal and stuff like leves and guildhests give a shitty amount of EXP.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Well, if you're enjoying ACN, it's probably worth going for it. Especially since WHMs don't really have many worthwhile cross-class skills otherwise. But it's nowhere near as powerful as Swiftcast, so it's not really mandatory.
So the last couple days for me have been rather good in game terms. On Wed, a friend in my FC hooked me up with his raid group to finally get my Ramuh and T6-8 clears, in which I pulled my own weight and didn't make an embarrassing amount of mistakes (except for t6, which I probably will still derp on).
Today, after wasting an hour trying to get a Party Finder group started, I hooked up with a tank in my FC and went into Duty Finder for Shiva EX: took several wipes and I finished on the floor, but we eventually cleared. Then I queued three more times by myself and cleared three more times with steadily improving survival. Two of the clears were one-shots. No gear but did get the Shiva TT card. Best Duty Finder experience with an EX Primal ever.
So glad it's not just me. 'Rah-moo' sounds so stupid. I mean, it's even right there in the spelling. Ramuh. Rah-muh.
As for 'Halone', I hadn't noticed anyone saying it in-game. I've been saying it 'hal-o-nee', like it was Greek.
I also had a good time on the game last night. I finally managed to get a party together for T8 farming, and finally got the High Allagan Gauntlets of Fending◊. Now I just need to start T9 training for the Coat, and I'll be all glamoured up...
Patch notes up.
—-Chocobo Racing & Triple Triad related notes—-
- Chocobo abilities during a race have been made more potent. For example. Choco Cure II now restores 9% of your stamina instead of 6%
- Heavy and Frenzied for the race have been buffed; Heavy lasts longer and Frenzied drains stamina faster
- EXP and MGP earned in a race have been increased, based on your rank. Also, finishing in last place now gets you a much smaller reward. This was done to discourage farmers that would AFK in the race.
- The size of treasure coffers are now larger, probably to make it easier to hit them when there's lag.
- Certain items have had their frequencies adjusted.
- Effects from foul weather are nerfed. Likewise, chocobos that prefer foul weather have been adjusted and the cunning stat is also adjusted.
- Items related to chocobo racing have been made FAR cheaper. Example: A G9 Covering Permission now costs 2950 MGP instead of the old 5900 MGP price.
- Obstacles in the R-40, R-60, and R-80 races for Sagolii Road were relocated.
- New opponents are added for Triple Triad.
- Certain opponents have had their decks adjusted. Likewise, certain rules on certain opponents are also adjusted.
- Tournament adjustment are as follows:
- The number of matches allowed have been adjusted.
- The number of points won from a match have been adjusted.
- The amount of MGP you earn as a bonus will be determined by how many points you won in the tourney.
- The Platinum Triad Card will be rewarded based on how many points you won in the tourney.
—-Main Story Quest related notes—-
- A new trial has been added. Unlike other trials, this one will have you defending specific areas in a party of 8. A complete wipe will not be considered a failure and you can return at the spawn point to continue on.
- The final quest, Before the Dawn, MUST be completed before you are allowed access to the Heavensward content.
—-Miscellaneous notes—-
- Mini games in the Gold Saucer give more MGP.
- Vase Off and Cliffhangers award more MGP.
- Vase Off no longer requires a single vase to complete the game.
- NPC Grege in the Entrance Square will sell items (not shown what) and there will be an arms mender merchant in the Gold Saucer.
- The Final Coil of Bahamut is now available in the Duty Finder.
- HP and damage from enemies before the boss of turn 1 of the Final Coil have been reduced.
- HP and damage from Valiant is reduced.
- The weekly "Gift of the Archmagus" quest now has the Encrypted Tomestone as an optional reward.
- The weekly loot lockout in the World of Darkness no longer applies.
- Music for the Magitek and Gilded Magitek mounts now have new music, based on "Terra's Theme' from Final Fantasy VI
It's not the rules of TT that should be adjusted, it's the stupid loot rates.
I think I have beaten Vorsaile Heuloix more than 150 times now, and I still haven't seen a Kan-E-Senna card. Ditto with Rhiki (75 wins at least), no Merlwyb.
Damn, I should get back to this game at least long enough to do the new story content.
That final quest requirement is going to get irritating for newbies.
So you've hit level 50, huh? Ready to see Heavensward's new content?
NOPE. Here's roughly 100 more level 50 quests, 2 more dungeons, and several more trials before you're allowed in the pool. Sucks for you if you leveled DPS!
I looked up some story spoilers for the patch and all I can say is SHIIIIIIIIIIIT....
Steps of Faith.
Fuck it.
That is all.
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.FC pre-made two-shot it this morning, with a couple of people who were through ahead of us in tow. The PU Gs are a mess though, as they tend to be immediately post-patch.
Remember: You can release from death and run back in.
It can be single-tanked if the tank is capable at dealing with adds.
Soon after that battle, prepare for long cutscenes (the game will even warn you). Like, more than an hour worth. You may want popcorn. And tissues.

I know. Nanamo...
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Not just that character. Almost all of the Scions are gone...
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I'm filing under Never Found the Body in Sorting Algorithm of Deadness until proven otherwise. It's prime fodder for a getting the team back together plot later.
Well I am going to be very pissed if they do an ass pull and say "lol they all lived" cause then those big scenes get cheapened.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order. It's not an Ass Pull if they cut away before we see exactly how it ended, its a cliffhanger.
However once you complete the questline,a lot of the NPC dialog changes to reflect the fallout. The talk around where stuff went down is...interesting. The WMG mill is speculating that the Monitarists faked Nanamono's death, or botched it, and are holding her prisoner or haven't figured out she's not dead and maybe it has something to do with why Minfilia went back. It could also be people are just in denial. But in Ul'dah the whole thing is being covered up and The Syndicate is claiming she's very ill and seeing no one.
So there's been a huge debate over how 2.55's story played out. The people who didn't like how it played out are claiming there's plot holes (things characters should have known already) and how the player character became a wimp by not fighting the enemy nor trying to resist against the situation they were in. What do you guys think?
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I think it's perfectly in character for the WoL to not resist arrest. They just have to say "come with us", and s/he'll give a little nod and allow them to put on the handcuffs or whatever.
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.One thing me and a few people point out that the Warrior of Light is his/her own character and is not us, the player, directly. A common complaint I have been seeing is "Well MY character would have fought back!" or some such. People have this belief that the player character IS the player and think whatever they, the player, does, think, or feel, the character on screen should represent that.
The story is already railroaded and even if there was a choice for the PC to respond differently, all replies would still lead to the same road. The Warrior of Light is just like Link; they have their blank slates of sorts and never speak other than whatever you choose to have them say, but in the end, they are their own characters.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.SO, stream is about to start.

From my experiences with SE's store, they won't charge you until it ships.
