Basically everyone in North America.
Including me.

EU player here, on Moogle. I was considering moving to Odin for a while, since that's got the highest UK population (mine has somehow turned into the unofficial French server, although there's still a majority of English-speakers).
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.I play on Behemoth, myself.
I'm playing on Hyperion myself, mostly because people I knew choose it for their server. Unfortunately, none of them seem to be active in the game anymore, so I'm pretty much going solo for now.
Coeurl here.
"You lost, Dio. You lost for one simple reason - you were using charcoal." - Hank HillSo I tried getting back into tanking as a gladiator (level 22 currently) and shit am I having so much trouble maintaining aggro. It doesn't help when I get people that are attacking other targets or a healer going into cleric's stance to take on foes too.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.GLD is shit tank. WAR is the best and easiest tank, because Overpower is, frankly OP. And awesome.
Also, just cleared ST. Ffffffffffffffffffff-
More accurately, all tanks are going to have problems pre-30 (and Palladins pre-35) when they get their main agro boosting skills, Defiance (WAR) and Shield Oath (PLD). Nor will most of the DPS have the agro-reducing Quelling Strikes unless they already leveled archer to 34 and cross-classed it. For a low level Gladiator, you're going to need to flash multiple times, be fastidious about marking targets (harder to pull off you when everyone is focusing the same target), prioritize protecting the healer and cross your fingers that the thaumaturge/black mage knows what they're doing. tanking in this game in general is rather more involved than other MM Os.
(<—- Leveled a Warrior to 50. First time I've done a tank character and it's a blast. GLD/PLD is a much more traditional sword and board.)

I've been leveling a PLD/GLD too, and I also much prefer Warrior. Overpower for the win.
A request for people working on the wiki page: Anything relating to 1.0 and End of an Era I'm pretty sure is safe to declare Spoilers Off. I zapped a couple myself. (Obviously, no spoiling the 2.0 continuations of said stories.)
Also, if anyone wants to add details relating to the Tales of the Calamity short stories that were released during the anniversary, there's a courtesy link.
Meanwhile I decided to level all of the DoHs as well as Miner and Botanist. I think I have a 33ish average between those classes.

I want to level Blacksmith and Armourer, but I finding crafting rather tedious.
Also, why do chocobos take so fucking long to level up?
I like crafting, but DAMN does it take a while to level up. I'm not going to be making millions of gil on the markets anytime soon, let's just say.
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.I feel like I might need the money soon. I hear getting weapons beyond Animus (that's the one with the books, right?) is expensive, or can be. I 'only' have 1.2 million on Farron, and my other two characters have around 300-350,000 each.

The Ixal daily quests are an excellent source of EXP to level up crafting. In fact, doing it that way is LOADS easier than trying to level up normally and with less RNG to boot.
Building your Nouvs relic can be expensive or not too painful, depending on what you are going for. Accuracy, determination, and critical hit materia are the most expensive on the market due to their high demand and low supply/difficulty of obtaining them (you can thank Square for changing how spirit binding works now). Grade 4 of the materia I listed are several hundred thousand gil, but you don't need to go that high unless you plan to beef up one of your secondary stats through the roof.
Of course, you could spirit bind for materia yourself, but you'll be subjected to RNG since you won't always get the right type of materia.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I actually have a few grade IV materias saved up. I was clearing out my inventory and sold a lot of materia, but grade I Vs are just too rare to dispose of. Since I'll be doing it with my Warrior first, I'll be going for Vitality and Strength probably, unless anyone has any recommendations.
I had not thought about doing the Ixal quests at all. I might give that a go.
I'll be doing Ixal quests when I've finished with the other beast tribes.
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.I've done the Amal'jaa stuff on one character and the kobold quests on another. I have no intention of doing any more at the moment (Ixal stuff aside). I probably wouldn't have done them at all if you didn't get a cool mount.
I heard there's something coming up that requires you to have done all the beast tribe stuff, is that right?
Yes after getting all the best tribe quests finished, a new set of quests opens up dealing with them all. Finsihin this quest gets you a vanity item an the bility to buy more minions, so if you prefer funtion over fashion then There is little reason to do them
Speaking of which I finished up the Amalj'aa quests, Kobold and Sahagin are both at 3 and Ixal are at 5
I don't use minions much, so meh.
Started the Ixal stuff, they responded by trolling me. I made items for the delivery stuff, but before I could turn them in, the reset ticked over and they weren't accepting those items any more.
For WAR, your focus should be on VIT and Parry.
Okay so I decided after doing the Ixal dailes and GC suppy stuff to mine... for the famous Mythril Ore, and get enough for the three classes that cna craft it (Blacksmith, Goldsmith and Armorer) to be able to make 100 each, the result: a level 35 Miner and almost two whole stacks of HQ Mythril. (also a quest that sent me to get HQ amethysts)
I do.
