I think it's more telling that Tat's only remembers her by the ass and in-universe she is remembered by her ass...
While us who have been here since the start remember her fun loving side and the relationship with Slick. But it is us who want to objectify her, right?
I think it's even more telling that Tats assumes the people on the internet, with it's veritable oceans upon oceans of pornography of all types, thinks Monique's ass is anything special, let alone a reason people read his comic to begin with.
I've seen feminist comics with more ass than early sinfest.
The good kind of feminist comics where they celebrated female strength and sexuality, or the bad kind where all the ass was just hypocritical objectification and fan service?
Several of both, I think.
I have seen a view of the first kind. It's so much different from Sinfest.
And the fembots continue to look creepy as hell in any style aside from Tats' regular one.
Oh look, Tats is using one of the popular characters to shill his "heroes" once again.

Oh c'mon Sam, it's not ENTIRELY your fault. Granted, I'm not gonna defend ANY part of the final straw there, that WAS entirely on you, but being anti-sex AND anti-porn is not really reasonable unless you're Adam and Eve in the early bits of Paradise Lost.
Seriously, sex with no lust? Makes no sense to me man.
Depending on what definition you're using, "lust" would be defined as "inordinate sexual desire" rather than simply a synonym for "libido".
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I think that would be Lust, not lust.
Actually, Lust is often less sexually focused than even the alternative definition of lust that I gave.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Out of curiosity, wouldn't it be funny if the recent "Liberty is gone, Sam is broken-hearted" comics were caused by Ishida's SJW girlfriend dropping him like a hot potato and him whining to the four skies and wondering what he did wrong?
Platypi hold the secret to happiness. There is a WMG going around that the whole Straw Feminist angle started not because he converted to radfem ideology, but because his nameless girlfriend that was featured in a few comics before said angle began had dumped him/rejected his attempts to reconcile/something along those lines and now he wants to take revenge on all women by painting them in a horribly negative light (via reducing feminism to radical feminism).
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus....I am not sure what bothers me more. Ishida the radical feminist or Ishida the guy who turns his webcomic into a year-long Crazy Ex Take That!.
"You can reply to this Message!"woah
when did sam get a giant mech
and when did he start living in it.
He's had the Giant mech since at least... 2008, IIRC.
Conception is sin Birth is pain Life is toil Death is inevitableIf it IS the crazy ex Take That!, I'd be more bothered by the fact that a lot of people have been eating this up at face value and agreeing with it.
Both options are disturbing.
The theory I've been running with is that Tats' old love interest rejected him for the reason that he was not feminist enough or some such, and then the crazy turn in the comic the past few years has been his overreaction to that.
Not sure if the Sam-Libby stuff happening now is reflective of some other kind of rejection (after a reconciliation?) or if he's just falling back into depression about how she's still gone. There do seem to have been a steady enough stream of depression comics here and there along the way, that make me think maybe this is all still a continuation of the same breakup from years ago.
REALLY makes me wish Tats wasn't such a Hikikomori. I can get a better handle on the mental state of the guy who does Bug Martini than I can Tats.

Hey, Vain-what's-your-face and Wesley. David Copperfield called. He wants his shtick back.
Nah Big D. Those two are more like That Guy.
Oh, I remember her for more than her ass, thank you very much. It's just that the focus of this one strip is how she had a penchant for flaunting her ass (among other forms of fanservice, but her ass takes the lion's share), that's all.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
