This. So much this. Just because some crazies are voting for a particular candidate doesn't automatically mean that said candidate is a horrible one.

Besides, by voting for Trump, you now share responsibility for (among many other things) the utterly inhumane plight of thousands of immigrant children whose families tried to cross the US-Mexican border over the past year and a half. (Google it. It's all over the news.)

We should focus back on Tats. He's been doing the American is a dystopian dictatorship even during the Obama years. And is now ramped up due to this administration. I do believe Trump shouldn't have been voted for, but I do believe on the other hand portraying America as being a third world authoritarian society is just hyberbole.

I dunno. If he went any more hyperbolic it'd be a lot harder to determine what's his actual opinion, and just an exaggeration for comedy. He's basically living poe's law at this point.

I meant that reality is starting to get a little too close to the hyperbole for my taste. And I'm not even American.

Having created his own little universe, Tats is free to tell us how wonderful the Real World would be if only we would all subscribe to his beliefs and submit to the people he would have in control of the government.

I think it would be hilarious if a guest cartoonist (Frank Cho? ) took over the strip for a few months and showed us the results of a successful coup by the Sisterhood. I suspect that if they were to gain power in Real Life, Xanthe, Clio, and Little Terrorist would bear a close resemblance to Stalin, Molotov, and Beria.

Well, I have a feeling they would be just as authoritarian and oppressive.

@marq I would just like to point out the reason we separate children from adults when they cross the border (both legally and illegally) is because sometimes human traffickers say they are the parental guardians of the children.

Sadly this comic today is like the perfect seedbed to talk about shit like this, because it's just made to stir up the shitpot.

Still am hoping for a fight where they Curb-Stomp Battle Liberty and Thank Her for abandoning Sam. After all if she hadn't walked out on him, they'd have never been able to get him on mode to so speak. And how she should take comfort in knowing..... The two of them will make America great in ways she could never have imagined....

Tats seems to believe that all pimps are male. (And white, but that's a tirade for another day.) But what about madams — do they exist in Tats' universe, and wouldn't they be literally female pimps? If we're "one nation under a pimp," then where do women who put down "bimbo eruptions" fit into his worldview?

I'm not sure what's going on, either. Is Tats referring to something here? Or is this just random?

Tats has had the eyebots literally be foiled by prayer, or "positive Jesus vibes" as Tats called them, sent by Seymour.

So Tats being as original and clever as he always is has made them judgemental Jesus vibes. There's probably nothing more to it than that.

What's sad is that I was half expecting the Jesus vibes to actually do something.

I don't think Seymour would be fond of Pimps, and Seymour is not as insufferable as he was back in his scrappy days.

It seems to me that Tats is simply running out of ideas. Ever since the Big Change, his comics have become more and more self-referential. He's riffing on previous riffs on previous riffs that started out as minor, incidental elements of the comic. Fembots, pimpbots, drones, Jesus vibes, even the Sisterhood were all amplified from humble origins.

Yes, comics evolve. Alas, somewhere along the way, Tats picked up Message and dropped Insight and Humor.

In Real Life, evolution doesn't always result in what we would call "higher" organisms. Tapeworms evolved. Athlete's Foot fungus evolved.
