My advice contribution is to invest in a can of something similar to this. It lasts almost forever and improves basically every food both health and tastewise.

@Tracer Bullet: I haven't really had any student-led courses, but I did have a bunch of group projects with presentations. The closest was when that project took up half of the course.

Make sure you have good communication methods with your group members and actually use them, so you do not get into misunderstanding. Schedule meetings and stuff.

I'm moving back into the dorms tomorrow. Yay for semi-reliable internet! Unlike almost everyone I know, campus internet is actually a step up for me.

Well, tomorrow marks my second-to-last semester before I can acquire my associates degrees, God willing. I know that in the grand scheme of things such degrees don't amount to much, but at the very least I'd be very pleased to acquire them. Considering the shaky state of my finances (or lack of any semblance of financial self support for that matter) I'm not sure how I'll be able to proceed once I'm finished at the little community college, but I hope for the best. smile

Welp! First class tomorrow at 8 am,luckily it's a Self-guided PE class so I don't have to wake up so early after this.

Other classes tomorrow include beginning at 10 (And this will be every Monday-Wednesday-Friday)

- Finite Mathematics (Aka the Matrices and graphs class rather than stupid Algebra again, obviously there'll be overlap but I can drop it if worse comes to worse)

- America and the Enlightenment (This just some silly Liberal Arts style course I have to take,it's not gonna be terrible I bet,but none to exciting either)

I will give first impressions after the matter.

Strength Training should be pretty simple,...although having to write papers for it is a little excessive. And they aren't even essays which are hard to miss, they're just these page things at the beginning and end. But at least the rest is self-guided,as long as I record everything I'm good

And now I don't have to wake up until 10.

EDIT: Okay just returned from Finite Mathematics and America and the Enlightenment,....ho-boy where to start,...oh my,...This Is Gonna Suck comes to mind.

What's wrong with it?

If it's only the first day, you probably didn't do a whole lot in the class. Something in the syllabus or general tone you didn't like?

Today I learned that when you regularly submit academic plans with Conveniently Nearby Professor instead of your advisor, eventually Conveniently Nearby Professor will officially inherit the position.

Just reviewed my class schedule. A good news and a bad news.

Bad news: In Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, because I have a two classes in a row in 12~2 PM, I have a very short lunch time, since it is 11 AM to 1:30 PM.

Good news: No. Evening. Class.

Considering I registered for the classes almost a month after everyone else because of some complications, and that I still got all my dream classes, I can live with this.

[up][up][up] Actually in the case of Math there was a bit of work to do already in class.

But mostly with the exception of Weight training, the tone does not bode well for either.

Up tomorrow,...Comparative Politics,Creative Writing Part 2, and Stagecraft. These will probably be more fun, especially if in the case of Politics, there's no attendance grade like that professor usually does.

I have A-'s in Intro to Computer Science and Writing, an A in Intro to Economics, and a B+ in Intro to Politics, giving me a first semester GPA of 3.675.

that's pretty good i guess

I might be able to get a high grade for an individual class, but it's difficult to get a quarter GPA that's that high.

I somehow came up with straight A's for this semester. I attribute it largely to the fact that my college's grading scale is less strict than that employed by my high school.

I only got straight A's one semester since I got here, which was when I had ten credits only. Every other grade has been everywhere on the scale from absolute failure (Anatomy),barely passed (Algebra),middle ground (Most classes), and B's (The other most classes) and one A (Creative Writing)

And now for impressions of today's classes

Comparative Politics: Nothing to see here, but no attendance grade makes up for it. This could be very fascinating or boring.

Creative Writing: Fun as usual, but I don't agree with the style of character introduction, but I have high hopes for this one

Stagecraft: I hope this one is easier, because right now there's just so much to process,it's somehow more complex than any Math class with all those tools to remember, and all these projects. Great teacher though and it's more hands-on. So yeah this is hit or miss right now.

I think my costume sketching ability remains surprisingly decent, considering I haven't done any for a little over two years. Need to work on speed, though.
