Captain Obvious time:

Who wants to bet that if Tali survives and becomes an admiral in third game, your decisions will affect if she will side with one of three other ones?(the peace, war and mad science ones xD)

I'd hope for a choice of third options. Han'Gerral and Quib Quib sound useful. Xen... Torches and Pitchforks time!

I'm not making a twenty-four year old a fucking Admiral. First thing I'd do is tell them they're a bunch of idiots ("she got both her squads killed, and you want her to lead your entire race?! Legion, fire up the killbots.).

I want Kal Reegar to join my team. Also I want Bioware to make Miranda's face look more like her prerendered face. Bioware can do whatever the hell they want from there.

So when's this Spike VG awards thing?

Also, if this next game is an all out TPS/FPS how exactly will the Bioware social forums react? DUMBING DOWN TO CONSOLES!!!!! or SOLD OUT TO THE FPS FAGS!!!!! ?

I was going to ask where it was you found her age but a quick Google search rendered the question moot.

On the subject of character age, Mordin is a freak of nature. He's ancient by Salarian standards and still fit enough to keep up with the rest of Shephard's squad.

wild mass guessAt some point in his life he might of been subjected to genetic altercations similar to the ones Miranda underwent. If the altercations lengthen her lifespan as long as she claims they do, it could easily explain how someone as old as Mordin is still so active and capable.

The writers have repeatedly stated that Mordin is 30 and that the age given on the website (50) is the equivalent age for a human. So he's not that old.

The Bioware forums are (unintentionally) hilarious. Except for the character threads, those are pure Nightmare Fuel.

He's not. Mordin's in his late thirties. I have seen his age as 50, but that's either how old he is in human years, or the age the VA played him as. (Grunt's referred to as 22 on the Bioware site, you know.)

Edit: Beat'd. Seriously, just 30? I would've thought he was older.

Sorry, I mistyped. He's supposed to be in his 30s, not exactly 30.

So why are Liara and Samara's ages listed as 100 and 600 respectively? Shouldn't that be 20-ish and 50 something in human years, too?

Either way, he's awfully active for a Salarian his age, whatever it is. I'm sticking with my gene altercation theory as to why.

I always thought Mordin looked old for his race. I thought that was one of the really neat points of detail Bioware put into the game - individuals within their respective species look aged and worn.

Speaking of which, anyone notice Mordin's also missing one of the processes on his head? Or half of it's broken off. Was there anything mentioned over that?

[up]That was lost in the same altercation that got him those facial scars. It's detailed in the Shadow Broker files you can access in the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC. That's also the mission where he killed someone (charging krogan) with farm equipment (a pitchfork).

Y'know what I'd love in ME 3? Really basic stealth gameplay, like you see in Uncharted 2.

I wonder, who or what will the Reapers use as their footsoldiers?

If they're smart (and they probably won't be) they'll just stick with their unstoppable horde of super dreadnoughts killing everything in their path. But most likely we'll be facing more Saren-like mostly indoctrinated soldiers who can be possessed at any time by one of a fleet of Reapers. Or they could all be possessed at the same time each by a different Reaper. Oh my.

[up]Maybe they're going the infiltration route again. Main enemy of ME3 will be their vanguard (Harbinger) setting things up for their arrival, and the climax is when their fleet finally reaches the galaxy.

So why are Liara and Samara's ages listed as 100 and 600 respectively? Shouldn't that be 20-ish and 50 something in human years, too?
Liara says she's 106 in the first game, and Samara says she's nearly a thousand years old in the second. Then again, her Dossier says she has biotic strength "near-that of an asari Matriarch", so it's pretty vague.

^To honest, Bioware has got themselves in a pickle there. The Reapers are supposed to be a sentient fleet of warships with millions of years of xenocidal experience who probably would'nt give two s**ts about glassing a planet if it so much as looked at them funny (unless it had a REALLY valuable resource/species to harvest).

Yet, the game is all about ground combat. Hoo boy, are they gonna have a hard time handwaving the excuse behind that one...

Eh, you can still board the Reaper and blow it up from inside. Plus the inevitable "fix whatever problem the allies have so you can recruit them for final battle", and maybe "crawl through ancient ruins/space station/ship to recover crucial artifact sooner than agents of the Reapers and you are set.

I don't think it will be hard to create excuse for a lot of good old commando based action for Shepherd and co. .

I sure wouldn't mind some sort of tactical minigame for ME 3. You don't have to make it super complicated, but being able to position units for key engagements would be pretty cool. They could even break into the normal combat mode when the point of contact occurs, with you controlling the squad's leader.

From what we've seen so far, Reapers are built with ship-to-ship weaponry, not planet-killing ordinance. The Prothean beacon images demonstrate the Reapers attacking using a combination indoctrinated slaves, bombardment, and smaller attack drones.

Eh, you can still board the Reaper and blow it up from inside

The only Reaper that we've seen be boarded by anyone who wasn't an ally is the dead one which the IFF is taken from.

The Reapers have never had anyone preparing for them. Ever.

How do we know that for sure?
