The only two games in the series I've played are Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon and Goemon's Great Adventure on the N64. God I loved those games as a kid...They were funny and so Japanese that the pure essence of Japan was dripping out of every square inch of the cartridges. I still love them...

Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied.I still have my N64 and still have my Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon cartridge. Once in a great while, I play it again. What a great, silly, kitschy game. I mean, it's a video game with a laugh track. You couldn't make that up if you tried.
Also:
"PURAZUMA!!!!"
^ Goemon 3 for the SNES has one, too. Too bad it's all in Japanese...
Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied.Quick question:
While I was reading Mami Kingetsu 's article on Wikipedia Japan for adding extra voice roles in her TV Tropes' article, I discovered the character she voiced in Tokimeki Memorial, Shiori Fujisaki, made a cameo appearance, along with Pastel from the Twinbee series, in the Tourist Center of Gambare Goemon 3.
I'd like to watch those cameos, does someone know of a video showing the Tourist Center ?

"PURAZUMA!!!!"
My brother and I still yell "PURAZUMA!!!" as each other randomly.
I couldn't find a video, but here is a picture of the Shiori cameo: http://f.hatena.ne.jp/seiba_86/20060314211535

Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied.Goemon is the coolest game franchise ever. I still keep my Impact horn in case of an emergency, too!
<3<3<3<3<3I feel the need to discuss this more...
The japanese version of "I Am Impact" sounds way different and even has some extended parts. I feel this series should have a Crowning Music Of Awesome page, because the soundtracks for these games are so good.
Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied. For owning the "10th Anniversary Konami Label Theme Song Collection" album, which contains "SMILE AGAIN" and "Double Impact", I'd agree with you. Those songs are great (although in this album, I'd rank "Shinkirou", "Believe", "Kaze ni Kaita Kotoba", "Mitsumete", and "Kitto Zutto" higher), especially Double Impact.
On another topic, I've got a few months ago Uchuu Kaizoku Akogingu on PS 1. This will be my first Ganbare Goemon, and I plan to play it as soon as I'm done with Double Cast, Sampaguita, and Policenauts in my backlog. Has anyone here played that Goemon game, and if so, what do you think about it?

Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied.I'm annoyed the opening for Goemon's great adventure and Double impact were cut.
Especially once I saw them both on Youtube.
One Strip! One Strip!OREWA, GORGEOUS! AAH~ IIIIIMPAAAACTOOOOOOOOO~
DA-DA-DASH!
Are there even any decent translations of this game? Where should a newbie in the series start?
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I'd say Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon for the N64. It's not as hard as some of the others.
Legend of the Mystical Ninja on SNES is surprisingly difficult. Same for Goemon's Great Adventure.
For the Super Famicom games, play the second one as you don't need to worry about the language barrier unlike the 3rd and 4th games.
Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied. One for Goemon 3 is being worked on by the same guy! Goemon 3 and 4 are going to look excellent in English!
We only need the second Goemon SNES game...
Always nice to see another GG fan.
I've been playing GG 3 and 4 with the help of a walkthrough, since there was no way I'd get far as is. One of my favorite places to get video game mp3s has the music from all 4 of the SNES/Super Famicom games, as well as the N64 ones. Have a couple of the tunes on my 3DS, natch.
That translation's looking delicious. I can't wait to see it's completion.

So, anyone besides me even heard of this series?
My first exposure to this was Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon for the N64. Despite not having a Memory Pak at the time, I managed to be the game after a 10-hour marathon session (Albeit it's not on the first try). A year later, I played Goemon's Great Adventure and beat that. I eventually owned both games after a few years, finding and buying Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon for $5 at a local video game store in my area (Nice deal!) by pure chance. However, I had to buy the other game (Along with Bomberman 64 the Second Attack) at Amazon for about $25. But they were worth it! :D
I later played Legend of the Mystical Ninja on the SNES, and while an awesome game, I hated their names they had back then (Kid Ying and Dr. Yang? WTF?!). I then later played the Goemon 2, 3, and 4 on an emulator, and I seriously hope they do a Fan Translation for those three games. All I have to go by are the Youtube videos. Goemon 3 is my favorite, but Goemon 4 was way too weird, even for this series. I don't know but something about it didn't feel right...
