If there is one I never found it.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Yeah...I don't think there is one, reading elsewhere. Despite it, some people have actually held the Wii Remote in their left hand while playing (still read elsewhere).
...I guess I would have done the same thing - except it would be the other way around with me being a righty like most of the world - if Link was a lefty.
Probably could do spin attacks in the same way you do them in other 3D Zeldas. Quick 360 on the control stick, then sword. Just, in this case, you'd hit left or right for horizontal, up or down for vertical, or diagonal for... diagonal.
I have a message from another time...I held it in my left hand, personally. Which may be where my troubles came from, but fuck it. That's still a flaw with the game as far as I'm concerned.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."It took me until about halfway through the second dungeon before the controls for Skyward Sword finally clicked. My brother refuses to even touch the game, claiming it is unplayable, even though he's never played it for so much as a second so he'd have no way of knowing. When he plays on the Wii he insists on holding the wiimote in his left hand and the nunchuck in his right. Now, that sounds like it would make sense for a lefty, which he is, but think about it for a second. He's spent his entire life playing with the d-pad or joystick in his left hand and the face buttons in his right, so reversing that would probably mess with his mojo.
Yeah, I've heard a lot of lefties say that Skyward Sword didn't really mess with them because they usually hold the Wiimote in their right hand anyway since that emulates a regular controller.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I (right handed) held the Wiimote in my left hand for Skyward Sword as well. My coordination was greatly improved afterwards. It also made using the bow much more comfortable due to the game switching handedness between sword and bow.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyAfter beating the second dungeon, I did think of one more complaint I have about SS. Most of the dungeons are great, but the first two, while not really bad, are both so short and underwhelming. They both feel like tutorial dungeons. Which makes the few number of dungeons in the game even more unsatisfactory. TP's beginning may have been a slog, but it did allow all 9 dungeons to be actual dungeons with lots of rooms, keys, enemies, and stuff.
The way Fi describes Ghirahim, it makes it sound like it would have been possible to switch between right-hand and left-hand mode.
And oddly enough, he became easier to beat using the Wiimote in my offhand (left), because it made overhand slashes easier. And he became outright trivial when I found that shield bashing made even right hand overhand slashes possible.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.I guess the way I prefer dungeons is the number of rooms they have, which is probably the reason why I prefer Twilight Princess's dungeons over those of Skyward Sword. And since Zelda Wii U is stated to have extensive dungeons (or at least that's what I think when I read something about it), they might have more rooms than the average 3D Zelda dungeon. Skyward Sword's dungeons had less rooms than average, but yeah, I agree that the later dungeons are better than the earlier ones.
IMO Skyview is a good first dungeon, Earth Temple is meh, LMF is just awesome, Ancient Cistern is great but a little too short, Sandship is very creative, Fire Sanctuary is forgettable and Sky Keep is probably the most creatively-designed Zelda dungeon I've played. (That's not saying very much, I've only played 2 of the 2D games.)
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonI really did not like Skyview Temple, and the fact that you have to go there a second time just makes it worse.
Earth Temple was good, LMF, Ancient Cistern, and Sandship are great, and Fire Sanctuary is neat but a bit of a PITA to navigate with all the locked fences and weird floor layouts.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I liked the concept of repeating the dungeon with the water dragon scale. But perhaps we could have had more of the dungeon flood during the first visit, to make it more different on return.
I have a message from another time...I really like the -idea- of returning to a previous dungeon to accomplish a new task, but the execution in SS was not good.
I sure said that!Mhm. It's concept a lot of interesting stuff could be done with. Although it would also kind of frustrate my completionist tendencies- are all those extra chests I see on the map stuff I missed, or are they things I'm supposed to get on my second time through?
I guess the same could be said for me about A Link Between Worlds before it was released. Seeing the later trailers prior to its release, I really got excited for it. And in the end, I truly enjoyed it.
I think Triforce Heroes looks like that it's worth checking out next month. Even if I can play it single-player, I think I already have two possible partners that'll make me enjoy it even more.
What's the relese date on Hyrule Warriors Legends? Some of these adventture maps are making me feel the need for that character switching feature.
I have a message from another time...Back on A Link Between Worlds. Just upgraded my Boomerang to the Nice Boomerang. Plan to do the Nice boomerang (and by default the regular Boomerang) challenge for Streetpass.
I hope it actually works. I know you just need to hit an enemy with it once, but when I tried it with the regular boomerang, it never seemed to work.
It irked me truthfully.
One Strip! One Strip!ancient cistern is an AMAZING dungeon, probably the most memorable one in all skyward sword. becomes even better once you learn what it's based on.
it helps that koloktos is also probably the best boss in the game.
To be honest, as cool as stealing his swords is, I found the fight to be kinda slow and repetitive. Rip an arm off, hit his heart a few times, watch an animation of him reforming, dodge his attack until he slams his swords into the ground, repeat.
Ghirahim and Moldarach at least keep you anticipating the entire time instead of feeling like a routine where you just can't get enough hits in.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!i liked him mostly because of aesthetic and thematic reasons.
most of the other bosses are pretty lame in that department if you ask me, it's not hard for koloktos to stand out when we have stuff like Mike and Celia's kid in the game.

All this talk about Skyward Sword has motivated me to start a second playthrough of it last night. I just got my loftwing back. I do appreciate getting the option to immediately save after something important happens like that instead of having to go to a save point.
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.
Twilight Princess was released for two consoles, not just one. The Wii version had the right-handed Link (I guess due to the fact that a huge percentage of the world is right-handed), while the GameCube version (which I own because I didn't have a Wii when the game came out) stuck to the traditional left-handed version of Link with traditional controls.
Doesn't Skyward Sword have a left-handed option, though? I thought I read somewhere that it was possible, but I could be wrong.
