Wait until you have equal power to them. Because those 999 guys...hooo boy.
A good way to judge that is based on the tunic. It goes by green > blue > red. Also, you might want to check your own value in terms or rupee's against others.

Well, this guy is only 50, and I have five hearts as of this most recent dungeon, while he has three.
His tunic is still green too, so I'm not sure why he's kicking my ass so badly. I even have more money than him right now, being somewhere in the thousands.
One Strip! One Strip! When fighting Shadow Links, the Bow is your friend.
The Nice Bow is your even better friend.
I sure said that!Okay, when I meant compare money, I meant compare what you are currently streetpassing out to what others have.
Otherwise, shapren your dueling skills son! (Also Boomerang is wonderful for these fights)
The Fire Rod, too.
Basically, stay away from their attack radius.
I sure said that!I see. I'll try that.
My aim with the bow needs work though. And they seem fast. If I try and get distance, they catch up to me and slash me easily.
But I'll get it.
One Strip! One Strip! The Nice Tornado Rod is the best item for stunning enemies in the game. Useful on the Shadow Links, though I recall they don't stay stunned for very long, like a second at the most.
The Nice Bow, on the other hand, is very good for fighting large groups or singular, mobile enemies, thanks to it firing an additional two arrows at a roughly 35 degree angle from the straight-flying one.
I sure said that!Alright. I managed to beat that pansy ass.
Also, I got the hammer, went to Death Mountain, and have the ....Power glove(?)....well whatever it's called, I can toss small rocks now, and that rocks.
About to collect the next Spiritual Stone, and then I'm guessing it won't be long before I meet Hilda.
Mwa ha ha ha ha!
One Strip! One Strip!Given your laugh, I get the feeling that you meant to type "beat" instead of "meet."
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! No. I met meet. I was just happy to get to this point so I can continue on.
I don't actually know what Hilda does....ok, I kinda can guess, due to just barely avoided spoilers, but I'd rather not be told outright.
.....Meh. Lets say I did mean Beat just to play it safe. Might as well be ready ahead of time.
One Strip! One Strip! Also, a fun fact: Majora's Mask and Skyward Sword are the only games whose final dungeons are accessed through the starter towns.

LINK IS GOING TO BE DLC IN MARIO KART 8!
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."...huh.
that looks...
surreal.
Pity no Captain Falcon.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Consider one more thing: there is an Animal Crossing themed track coming with the second DLC pack. Possibly a Hyrule themed track with the first?
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."There will be. The listing says "The Add On Content packs include new courses, some taking place in the worlds of The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing."
Welcome to th:|For some reason I'm surprised that Metroid wasn't part of that line-up. It'd be neat seeing some of the series' locations show up in HD on the Wii U...
I don't know how to feel about this news though. Seeing Link on a modern vehicle like that motorcycle seems really odd to me, but not in a bad way. I kind of hope Zelda is playable too.
I also lament the lack of Captain Falcon, but I guess having the series represented in some fashion is a lot better than nothing.
I will say that I'm looking forward to hearing him scream at everybody.
I hope the motorcycle has the name Epona written on the side.
Maybe there will be a bike based on Epona and/or the Loftwing
Maybe a Loftwing parachute/glider? Wouldn't be out of place.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Epona Bike with Loftwing Parachute and Goron wheels.
PETA'll have his head for that.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
Allright. Beat the tower of gales.
That's what they get for throwing a Bey Blade at me. Link used to ride those things as a hobby......in a completely different universe true, but still.
Edit: Also, I keep losing to a Shadow Link just outside the House of Gales. He only has three hearts, but he's giving me a lot of trouble for some reason.
What's the best way to fight these guys? Stay still and let them come to you? Chase after them? Use items? What?
I've managed to beat two so far, but this dude keeps getting me, even now that I have five hearts.
