Because Kinkajou told me to.
So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

He's not.
That ship sailed years ago.
If there is going to be a new Ivalice game, I'd love for it to cover the Cataclysm between XII and Tactics.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.I'd also love to see Rozarria at some point.
Remember, there's three continents there, we've seen a nice bit of Valendia on the way to Archades, and Kerwon is basically just Garif, Viera, and Mt. Bur-Omisace. Meanwhile all we've touched of Orlandia is the Galtean Peninsula aka sand* . And Rozarria is right there on the interior plains of the continent, and we've only ever met one person from it.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyWas Rozzaria ever described in-game?
coupla offhand comments from al-cid is all i can remember
Heart of StoneRozarria's geography and culture is never described in-game. It fought a war with Archadia in the past but that's pretty much all we know. Al-Cid doesn't reveal much about Rozarria when he's around.

Life is more fun with infinite MP.I need to ask this: How braindead I'd have to be in order to play Final Fantasy X 2?
Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...That's very YMMV. And judging by what I've already saw while playing Final Fantasy Record Keeper... Yeah, I need to know if it's actually worth it.

Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...I think X-2 is a fun game even if it is really silly. The combat system is pretty fun and I don't think the story is offensively bad. Just don't take it too seriously.
X-2 is a perfectly fine game.
This song needs more love.It was the last sort-of-main series title to actually use the Job System (not counting the MMOs), even using the ATB system; you can basically think of it as FFV but with the ability to switch Job mid-battle. It's fairly easy to cheese with the right setups, but that applies to most such systems.
It's also got, IMO, an excellent compromise between open-world and linearity. The areas from FFX are all open to you immediately after the tutorial, but the game is split into five chapters where something different is happening in each area in each chapter; a few of these are main quests that contribute to the overall plot, but most of them are sidequests that push that particular area's subplot forward. Many of them have multiple endings, some of them depending on what you did in other areas. Getting 100% requires the best ending for each area, so you really have your work cut out for you.

A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Watching through the page, I may be getting a bit of interest.
Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...X-2's gameplay cadence is pretty great. The Jobs are a little same-y at times but it feels like a good branching point between V, which had a rough but very functional Job system, and Bravely Default, which more or less perfected it - there's more flexibility than either of those two, but the Jobs also aren't so different in a lot of cases as to warrant swapping around a lot, so that capability somewhat goes to waste.
The plot and writing are also very YMMV. Don't expect OG X's level of writing or pacing; it's very much a spin off done by a B team.
It is a pretty good exploration of "Great, we've defeated the Big Bad. Now what do we do?"
Life is more fun with infinite MP.The best plot is in the side quests.
Monkey breeding
Life is more fun with infinite MP.Not that side quest.
I disagree that the story was bad. It is very down to earth and explores a lot of 'whats next' type things as well as builds on Yuna's character massively.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the "don't revive Tidu's" is the best one in regards to giving Yuna character development.
GOH! JII! RAH!The Math Dungeon?
Least it spare us from Blitzball Mines

I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!I liked the Math Dungeon... once I figured out encounter-none.
Let me guess, it's that one minigame, right?
Though I'm a little worried on how he's handling Unsung Story.
