Because Kinkajou told me to.
So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

First half of the fight with Ravana's my favorite.
Wouldn't be surprised to see him as a traditional summon in the future.

Ravana is amazing, but I love Garuda just as much.
TIL Yasumi Matsuno studied political science and eastern european history.
i'm not sure if this true but if it it does explain a lot.
I actually prefer Shiva's music before the limit break. Afterwards, it sounds just like all the others, loud and noisy.
I like variety in my music.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television. And of course, the obligatory:
Ramuh's is neither loud nor noisy. Arguably, Moogle Mog too, but it sounds like a Danny Elfman ripoff.
You say that like it's a bad thing.
Trans rights are human rights. It isn't in my mind either. I felt the same thing with the music in the Sylph area, minus the lyrics.
What about Phoenix? His theme is neither loud nor noisy.
Neither is Bismarck's. Dragon rave party!
Song of the SirensI think we can all say the Primals are a triumph in battle music.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.I got the Yoshimitsu in RK (•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑
Relic #2
I never got into the Bahamut dungeons. Nobody was ever recruiting when I was online.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Record Keeper:
I waited for months for a chance to boot Red XII out of my FF 7 team, and then finally Zack came. And then I looked at my weapons selection and realized that Red gets to stay and Sephirot gets the boot. Sorry Sephirot, blame the fact that katanas are not the same as swords in this game. :P
Also I managed to hone Protectga, which means it has 4 uses, which means that I get to always have it on for most dungeons. Come at me, high-level normal enemies.
Oh! And I have more than 50 mithrils. Waiting for a mage-centered banner, hoping there will be one shortly...

I don't think there will be a mage-centered banner anytime soon since most of the time there are two characters in events at least, with at least one being a warrior.
The next best thing seems to be the future XIII event with Hope, Snow and Vanille (so 2 mages out of 3). But that probably won't happen before early november, and...well, all depends on how you'd like to have those as regulars on your team, since characters for whom you get relics tend to immediately become really useful.

The Ifrit bonus battle is quite the Luck-Based Mission, especially if you go for the challenge event (Thancred, Y'shtola +2).
It's not that he its unfairly powerful with potential lethal moves (such as the Thunder Dragon from VI with its Whirlwind + AOE combo), it's just that he has That One Attack, and if he decides to spam it, you are pretty much screwed. Said attack is Vulcan Burst, which is a non-elemental aoe magic attack who hits fairly hard (easily 1000 to 2000 on everyone)...and resets their ATB gauges. If he decides to use it during the nail phase, you pretty much lose.
Especially since the 3 turns to kill the nail are complete BS. You'll be lucky if your characters all get two actions before the Nail explodes - even without getting their ATB reset.

I have a pretty strong FF 7 team, but I still can't defeat Elite Schizo :/ I have extremely good defenses, but my offensive capabilities aren't up to par and he eventually defeats me by attrition.
For the FF 14 event, too, I could complete normal battles with quests but + and ++ battles are out of my reach.
Since I can't control which weapons I get, I guess I need to create/hone more offensive 4* skills, since most of my 4* orbs went into Protectga. Time to complete some new classic and elite dungeons.
I've decided that I'm most likely going to get the 7 remake, despite my dislike of Cloud and Sephy-chan. Gameplay wise, it really was a good game. Play the Game, Skip the Story sort of thing.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Do you dislike 7!Cloud or EU!Cloud (or both)? Because they are extremely different from one another.
Schizo is a pain, but I guess you were unlucky since Protectga is completely useless against him (them?) since he has no physical attacks. Shellga is the useful one this time.
I almost managed to master the + Battle...but I picked the wrong Shared SB for Aerith, and I gave her a rez spell instead of a group heal one, which means that I lost three characters and a truckload of medals. A shame because the first three battles were rather easy (the first two were a breeze with Intimidate then Dark Buster, the third was a bit harder since I forgot that I could also use Intimidate).

Expanded Universe Cloud defo. 7 Cloud didn't have a personality to call his own in the first place. But what are the odds that 7 Cloud won't be infected by EU?
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Fuck Ifrit, seriously. Why does Vulcan Burst have a 100% chance to delay the entire party? Why does he spam it exclusively? Why does he resist Breaks when they barely reduce his damage anyway? How the hell are you supposed to do it with 4 party members anyway?
...I guess now's a bad time to mention I've master all the current event stuff, huh.
AO 3 profile: goodygoody19I was surprised I got Yoshimitsu in my Rare Relic draw today in Record Keeper. I also got the Cobalt Katzbagler as well. Now I feel confident I can probably take on a battle above 80 for the XIV event.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. If you levelled Thancred, you can probably take on the + event. His relic SB is quite good on average and devastating with synergy.
The trials all have good music and usually very non-standard genres.
