IDK, not a big fan of the suggestion
Also not a fan, I don't see how they're connected outside of the fact that "Picnic" is in the title of both; and if I have to read an example to understand the context, it's not a good image.
I'd like to apologize for all this. Not a fan. I don't understand it without the explanation, and an image isn't going to get that much on-page talk.
I know more about obscure 1990s Middle Grade Literature novels than most people. Not feeling it
I have a thought, I think the repsective work pages on Neon Genesis Evangelion and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann do a pretty good job of looking like one is the [[deconstruction]] (or at least pessimistic take on) and [[reconstruction]] (or at least optimistic to the max take on) the Super Robot genre. We're allowed image duplication with works and I not proposing we change them for that reason but how about this:
I think the similar compositions but the differing color palettes works? I could put the release years on as well.
As for the work pages, whilst I don't want to change those I do think we could at least get versions of the images with the logos on, I found these online:
So I can't think of anything right now... meh.I think 6.1 can work, though maybe with a vertical arrangement to better show the big smile on the guy in the center.
For my part, here's a couple using Pan's Labyrinth and Alice in Wonderland.
7.1
7.2
I think an Alice poster that shows the rabbit hole imagery would better contrast with that Pan poster.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I think going for the original Literature.Alices Adventures In Wonderland could make that easier than the Disney film.
Some ideas:
Using the British Film Institute special edition cover:
With the classic Alice cover:
I rather like the last one both have young girls interacting with a creature but you can see the body language differences between curiosity and caution.
So I can't think of anything right now... meh.I'm just a psycho, babe! Come and go out my mind. I didn't lose it, babe! There wasn't much to find.
Ooof, tough choice. I think I favor 9.1 / 9.3 over 10 because the visuals are less crowded. The Beastars poster is good, but it takes a bit longer to parse that they're animal people.
I get the feeling; I think Black Mirror is overhyped, but sometimes it just does have a good pic for a trope.
I have to admit I don't see "spiritual antithesis" with the Zootopia and Beastars images because I just see anthropomorphic animal works with different tones. Ast the Beastars poster doesn't show they are both about the relationship between a canine and and a rabbit in a modern city setting they don't look that connected. But the idea isn't without merit, this could work maybe?:
So I can't think of anything right now... meh.I don't love the Zootopia/Beastars one either. Speaking as someone who doesn't know what Beastars is, it's not clear enough to me.
Maybe this pairing from the options in 9? We get the visual of a magical white-furred creature guiding a little girl, but everything else is completely different.
Idk what the fuck Beastars even is, so I'll go for the comparison where I know what both are.
"Shout, shout, let it all out These are the things I can do without, come on I'm talking to you, come on!" -Tears For FearsI know what Beastars is, but the image in 10 doesn't clearly contrast with the Zootopia poster. ^^ works for me
Eta: missed 15, that one is also fine

15 > any of the Alice ones > the rest
I'd like to apologize for all this.16. I don't think the connection between the two in 15 is evident enough.
back lolChanging my vote to 16 > 15
Decided to make this as a suggestion post instead, so thoughts?
