Granted, it dosen’t truly answer your question.

I get the feeling the final Big Bad is going to be Alastor. From a thematic perspective, Charlie's ultimate foe in her quest to redeem Sinners is the one Sinner who most strongly believes Sinners are irredeemable.

I'm actually kind of afraid of this happening. Not because it's inherently bad or doesn't make sense, but it feels too easy and borderline cop-outy, and not to mention it's too obvious.

I'd almost rather Alastor remain the Token Evil Teammate who proves that sometimes people just don't want to be redeemed, or are perhaps too far gone to be redeemed, and to offset the entire group, with a few genuine Pet the Dog moments along the way. But that's just me.

The real villain might end up being whoever it is that is backing up Alastor with power as well.

We don't know how strong Alastor actually is without that contract of his powering him up. For what we know, he might be as weak or even weaker, than Sir Pentious without that extra juice boosting him.

As I mentioned before, I can see him start the journey to redemption at the very end of this show, his powers gone and him back at the bottom of the totem-pole he started as, but nothing else more than that. Bonus-points if his radio-filter have finally ceased to be when he talks, showing that he have grown so much as a person that he no longer "distancing" himself from the Hazbin-crew like he does with everyone whenever the filter is on.

I don't think the contract is powering him up at all. Based on how he talks, that getting out of his deal would 'unclip his wings', I think somehow his deal restrained his power.

[up] That could easily be a clause in it like "You get X amount of power, but I decide what you can use it for." / "Every soul you claim with my power will be 100% MINE, not yours, in exchange for permitting you to keep using my power."

Alastor rocketed up to Overlord status out of nowhere, which is odd even in this setting and its rules. The contract powering him up for a cost of freedom could explain that sudden rise to power.

And Alastor, wants to cut that "condition" off while keeping the power he got from the contract.

Maybe.

Is it just sinners that are limited to Pride Ring or are Angels limited to just visiting the Pride Ring?

[up][up][up] Well, even if they are, they don’t really have a reason to go to other Rings, do they? Since the Hellborn are exempt from the Exterminations.

How old do you think Zestial is?

We know he's the oldest overlord(Though whether that means 'first overlord' or 'oldest overlord still around I am not sure) but how old is something I don't think was answered.

His accent is the main hint he is at least not 'early humanity' old, but he could have picked that up over time.

[up]My guess is that he was alive back in the late 14th-century to early 15th-century.

The reason for this guess is the feather he wears in his hat and how fluid he is with his speech-style.

Which would make him roughly 523-525 years, give or take.

[up][up] I think the only reason there aren't Neanderthal Sinners who communicate in nonverbal grunts is due to the Exterminations getting rid of them all over time. Thus, Zestial managing to survive Hell for half a millenia only adds to his reputation as The Dreaded.

One thing I've always found interesting is how the vocabulary and slang of sinners from older time periods would develop over time. Like how Alastor mainly speaks like someone from the 1920s but also uses more modern words and phrases like 'clout' and 'That's the Tea'. However, he still doesn't understand what 'Ace in the hole' could mean (showing he doesn't understand modern concepts of sexuality and/or doesn't understand certain modern vocabulary) - he hasn't completely lost his 1920s self.

Pentagram City is a melting pot of sinners from different countries across time and so it makes sense that dialects and vocabularies would merge and play off each other. The fact that Zestial still speaks in flowery Elizabethan only adds to the coolness of the character as it shows that he, as much as the other denizens of Hell may have changed, he has remained exactly the same.

[up] I really hope they do address or play up the massive amount of culture clash that a Time Crash like Hell would cause, even if extreme cases like Zestial are outliers. There was a bit of it in the pilot (Niffty being a self-hating domestic, Angel being casually misogynistic and mildly racist, etc.)

Everybody gangsta until Sir Pentious starts talking about how he doesn't see any problem with child labor or women working 20 hour shifts in factories

[up][up]

Sir Pentious have/had the "Egg Boiz".

He doesn't need to talk about child labor considering that he's employing what's essentially egg-shaped homunculi that are most likely way younger than anyone else in Hell, considering that he makes them himself and treats them like kids as it is.

[up]Speaking of Sir Pentious, it's pretty clear that there's going to be at least one episode in Season 2 which deals with the fallout of Pentious in Heaven, but it also may just focus on Pentious as a character. My prediction is that there's a 66% chance that he winds up befriending a Winner who at some point in the episode is revealed (at least to normal people and not those of us who are well-versed in the insidiously profane 2018-era Hazbin apocrypha) to be Molly, Angel's sister. That is, of course, if it is still canon that she even exists (Yes, I know she appears in Welcome to Heaven" but that could still just be a Development Gag as far as we know).

[up]Since Angel Dust's brother has a cameo at the end of the final episode, I assume that his family will end up playing a part in the next season. Sir Pentious meeting Molly would be a great way of (properly) introducing her.

He has an older brother named Arackniss (you can see him in some of the older Hazbin-related videos on Vivzie's channel before the Pilot).

In the final episode, you can see the back of his head (along with Baxter and a red demon) when Katie Killjoy is reporting about the death of Adam. He's in a street, staring at a large TV screen.

Edit: you can see him at 0:06 in this video (he's the one furthest forward): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcR6Y5aCRtQ.

Here's him in an older video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra56UWuJaq0. He's sitting at the table.

Everything we currently know about Angel Dust's family comes from preconceptualized material even before the pilot was released. Supposedly he has his older brother Arackniss, his younger sister Molly and an unnamed father so far, but all of that is completely subject to change, of course.
