"It Was A Sh*t Show" which details the production troubles of well known movies (not necessarily BAD movies, just troubled ones).
The only podcast I've ever listened to is The Magnus Archives. Serialized horror that lasted for five seasons. Apparently a sequel is in the works. It's some really good stuff.
I listen to Welcome to Nightvale
New theme music also a box~Jethro Q Walrustitty I moved this thread to Yack Fest because general threads aren't allowed on the media subforums.
Macron's notesAh, ok. I though since there was a thread for youtube there, it would be the right forum.
Mainly podcasts baed around British sitcoms, so "British Sitcom History Podcast", stuff like that. Oddly enough, my Twitter account once got mentioned on a Red Dwarf-themed podcast (its called "Shipwrecked and Comatose", which is also good).
I mostly listen to Paint Bravely the Podcast, because Brent and Casey are pleasant to listen to even in their personal videos. Brent in particular is seen as a Bob Ross of miniature painters.
I used to listen to Welcome to Night Vale, but lost interest at some point. I went all the way through The Magnus Archives, really liked it, but I should mention that I usually listened to these while playing games. This meant I could not always give them the attention they deserved and I missed quite a lot of details. That is likely why I felt lost in the gradually building relationships of Night Vale, and many of the twists of Magnus Archives only hit me when going back over it.
For non-fiction, I have been listening on-off for years to The Neoliberal Podcast (also on Spotify). NPR's Planet Money has a good range of topics but each episode is quite brief. Perun made himself know as someone who both covers complex topics on war without dumbing them down and being humble enough to admit his limits.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.I listen to a few, but the one I listen to the most is DEADLOCK. I even fall asleep to it. A potentially bad decision considering they spend at least ten minutes losing their minds during the Patreon shout out segment.
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.Hi five! What are your favorite seasons?
Fiction:
- Wolf 359 remains my all time favorite. Love the story, love the characters. It does a good job transitioning from comedy to drama without losing the funny.
- Dust is an anthology of science fiction stories, while the Chrysalis miniseries was very well done.
- Alba Salix and Eos 10 are unrelated but similar fun comedy series, one fantasy and the other sci-fi.
- Immunities, a much darker series than my other favorites. What do you do when mind controlling aliens have taken over almost all of humanity, and can do the same to you just by looking at you?
I'm horrid at listening to serialized podcasts (I barely have the attention span for audiobooks), so my podcast rotation is mostly one-off informatives (e.g. You're Wrong About) or those that discuss media so I can just listen to episodes with subject matter I know or am interested in (e.g. Blank Check, Celebrity Memoir Book Club)

I noticed there wasn't much discussion about podcasts on this forum, so I though I'd start one.
My weekly listens include Behind the Bastards, Trashfuture, Lions Led By Donkeys, The Last Podcast on the Left, Kill James Bond! (well, bi-weekly, as released), Cult Podcast and Pod Yourself The Wire
I used to listen to, and still occasionally pop in on, The Dollop, Chapo Trap House and My Favorite Murder. I used to be more into true crime (I even used to write for one) but I kinda jettisoned myself from the scene around the time of the Gabby Petito case. Also, I used to listen to Revolutions podcast, which has now finished, so I can't really say I listen to it anymore, but it is one of the all time greats.
