The bottom picture has him standing on a pile of skulls with heads piked in the background? Genuinely not sure how it's Just a Face and a Caption?
They don't look like skulls, they look like rocks, and the heads are so shadowed I'll have to take your word for it that that's what they are.

These look closer to Evil Is Cool than Complete Monster to me. While the dude on the third pic is standing on skulls, they're not very noticeable imo.

I don't think so. Malthael is actually doing something monstrous in the first two (ripping people's souls out of their bodies) but at that size, it's hard to tell. Diablo is just looking menacing.
