William Murderface has a particular interest in the US Civil War. It's never been a huge focus of his character, but it has been alluded to a few times across the series, such as him being mentioned to collect memorabilia from then, as well as Skwisgaar returning a documentary DVD back to him.

Robot shares a voice actor (and a general demeanor) with another protag from an overlooked 2010s cartoon gem, Dan.
Also, one for Robot and Monster itself: the show didn't click with viewers, but without it, we probably wouldn't have gotten the massively successful TMNT (2012). The shows share two creators and much of the same crew worked on both.

Noob Saibot is named after the surnames of the creators of Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon and John Tobias, backwards. In the story, he was the first Sub-Zero until he was killed by Scorpion, only to then be resurrected as Noob Saibot thanks to Shinnok.

The fandom actually correctly predicted that in the second film, Harry Hart would return with a missing eye.
Hella Jeff (And incidentally Sweet Bro) were based on a thread in the old Penny Arcade forums where Andrew Hussie created a comic with the two characters in a Two Guys Playing A Game kind of style as a parody of a "pretty bad" comic posted there.

Not even stars last forever.
Fischl speaks in full keigo chuunibyou talk that almost doesn't make sense to others, prompting her pet crow Oz to translate her with Layman's Terms.

Nemesis is even worse. At least Fischl talks like a human being. You literally won't understand what Nemesis is saying without translation◊. Doesn't help that her designated translator, Charolic, has this weird tsundere-ish relationship with her.
This may or may not stem from her hardware. Nemesis is an SST-05A2 Tactical Doll, which sacrifices social functions for higher performance on the battlefield. Though it needs to be said that the other SST-05A2 model that we know of, Groza, is nowhere as socially dysfunctional as Nemesis is.

According to the Shin Madou Monogatari timeline (which is supposed to be non-canon to the Puyo Puyo and Madou Monogatari series of some kind) Arle Nadja went at war at one point with the creator of her world during "The Final Ragnarok". When The Creator was finally defeated by her, everyone (except Arle) died and ceased to exist as the result of this very long war, leading Satan to recreate the world as it once was with no passage of time, and recreating replicas of everyone from what he knows and remembers about them.

The cat in the foreground is the artist's beloved cat Willow. She died about a year before the release of War of the Spark, and Magic's art director suggested putting her on a card as a tribute. You can read the full story here; it's very sad and sweet.
I like cute things. You gotta deal with it.
Doctor Fate is a two-in-one superhero. His true identities are Kent Nelson for the human host and Lord of Order Nabu as the Helmet of Fate.

The first Mobile Suit Gundam anime actually had low viewership and merchandise sales, but it also had a sizable female fanbase who came to enjoy the drama between attractive men in the cast. Char Aznable, especially, is popularly shipped with his best bud/revenge victim Garma Zabi. Some of the earliest Gundam doujinshi feature these two. It's not until around the end of the series where Bandai made the ridiculously popular Gundam plastic model kits.
In short, Gundam as we know it probably wouldn't exist if not for the yaoi shippers.

Taskmaster abilities have the draw back that his memory keeps getting messed up due to his photographic memory power keeps ending up erasing parts of his past in order to learn new abilities, leading to him not knowing his own past.

Shang Tsung's appearance in Mortal Kombat 11 is a full-on mocap of Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, who played the character in the 1995 movie.

Subaru came up with an original pro wrestling move (though she thought it already existed). It ended up being used by Great-O-Khan where it is called the "Oozora Style Sheep Killer."
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.

Warrior Cats was so popular in Poland that the Polish versions got all new illustrations on the covers. I wanted Scourge in my gallery so I picked this awesome art from the cover of The Rise of Scourge.
Once upon a time, there was a Limey. He was not slimy, he was just finey!
Ganikoumoru is the only monster to be created by Geldam after Shocker's (initial) demise, as he is meant to foreshadow the appearance of Gel-Shocker later in the show. He is a hybrid between a crab and a bat.
