If you want a new image but keep the other, you can just add (with a label note) without using a thread.

Normally done by using a labelnote - something like this:
[[caption-width-right:350:[[labelnote: Click here]] https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/PictureTwoFilename.png[[/labelnote]] to see other picture]]
Whatever you put between the [[labelnote]] and [[/labelnote]] tags is hidden until it's clicked.
If you take a look at the Marvel characters page for The Eternals: Eternals, the two images for Uranos are set up that way.
