And if you know your fashion (or just watch Jacksepticeye like me) you'll recognize that hat as being extremely Irish.
Technically the current has one too, which the caption even points at, but it's half cropped out so I didn't notice.

The shamrock is a national symbol for Ireland, and probably the best way to stereotypically identify an irish person outside the national flag itself.
That or making them a Leprechaun.
