If you see good examples, feel free to move them to the Bald of Authority main page as well

But yes, statistically you're likely to come across mostly ZCE. If you can/want to add more context go ahead, but you can also cut and keep it pushing

I moved non-zero-context examples in Bald Black Leader Guy's on-page example list to Bald of Authority and turned the former into a redirect since we don't need access to its on-page examples anymore. Feel free to rewrite them if the characters' ethnicity is no longer relevant (I left them as-is because I wasn't sure).

Edit: Oh, right, and I completely torched the Real Life folder since Bald of Authority is NRLEP.

    Black Bald Guy in Leadership
  • Apocalypse of the Dead: Mortimer Reyes (played by Ken Foree) is a giant, bald, black Interpol agent who takes control when zombies attack a prison transfer.
  • Rim of the World: General Khoury, the head military official shown in the movie, is a bald, African-American man.
  • Snatch.: Inverted for the Pawn Shop guys. They're all black, but defacto leader Sol is the only one with hair.
  • King Of The Hill S 4 E 2 Cottons Plot: Ramsey who runs the rehab program Peggy is initially enrolled in is black, with not one hair on his head and is eager to help people get back into shape.
  • Total Recall 2070: Martin Ehrenthal, both bald and black, is the head of the local division of the CPB. He's an incredibly competent administrator, not afraid to stand up to any Consortium representative or someone from the Assessor's Office trying to browbeat him or his agents to back away from their investigations.
  • Boston Public: Principal Steven Harper is bald and black.
  • The Norby Chronicles: Admiral Boris Yobo is head of Space Command, which puts him in charge of Space Academy, where Space Cadet Jeff Wells is in training. Initially it appeared that Fargo had left the service, but the first book reveals that he'd actually become a secret agent working with Yobo to discover the secret identity of the first book's villain. So aside from being the highest-ranked person that we meet in the Solar Federation, he takes a personal interest in the Wells family and is directly responsible for Jeff having enough credits to purchase Norby in the first place. The novels tend to describe him as the descendant of African kings, emphasizing his skin-tone and leadership skills at the same time. His baldness is emphasized in Norby and the Court Jester because the planet Izz insists on everyone wearing braids, and since his natural baldness prevents him from having any other hair, he has to grow a mustache and braid that instead.
  • Zombie Powder - Roscoe: He's bald, black and runs the hospital where Emilio is staying.
  • Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines Anarchs - Skelter: Though he's second to Nines, he's still a leader of the Anarchs and of obvious African descent.
  • The Good Fight - Adrian Boseman: He is bald, black and in charge of his law firm.
  • Scion - Tyrone Norris:African-American descent, bald, and the de facto leader of the Band.
  • Invincible (2021): Superheroes - Black Samson: Subverted. While he is bald, black, the most experienced, and a senior member of the team, he isn't the actual leader of the group. That said, he makes more of an effort to manage the team than Robot does and pushes them to be more active in reducing civilian casualties. It’s noticeable when he rallies the team to save lives from Invincible and Omni-Man’s fight, whereas Robot was initially content with following Cecil’s orders to stay put.
  • Daredevil (2003) - Kingpin: Evil version. He's the towering bald leader of New York's organized crime like in the comics, but changed into a (very) Scary Black Man in the film.
  • Arrowverse Star City Citizens - Frank Pike: Bald, black and also Quentin's superior.
  • Fringe B Side - Phillip Broyles: He's bald. He's black. He's a leader.

    Partial Example - 1 of 3

Only race specified

  • Black Sails: Mosiah, who seems to speak for a sizable number of the black members of Flint's crew until Captain Vane murders him.
  • Marvel Comics: The Kingpin: In the Daredevil movie he's played by Michael Clarke Duncan, who is African-American.

Only leadership specified

  • Comic Book/Stormwatch: Field Commander Jackson King (Battalion), who is eventually promoted to Weatherman after Henry Bendix goes rogue.
  • Combat Hospital: Commander Will Royal, the chief of nursing.
  • Good Times: Alderman Davis plays with this trope. He's mostly just a politician, but is also a skilled (if very self-serving) civil rights leader.
  • Def Jam Series: D-Mob is the leader of a gang.
  • NUMB3RS: David Sinclair. Although not technically a leader, he is Don's second-in-command. Don gives him the lead on a few projects, and he also becomes the head of the unit when Don is injured in "The Fifth Man".
  • The Lightbringer Series: Commander Ironfist, after he shaves his head in mourning for the Blackguards lost at Garrison.
  • She Who Rises: Leader Lady, in this case. Masika is very much in charge in her and Farida's travels, mostly by default as Farida's elder. This shifts somewhat later in the book, as Amber and Farida challenge her decisions and outvote her on some issues.
  • The Fifth Element: Lindberg, the President of the Federated Territories, played by former professional wrestler Tom "Tiny" Lister, Jr.
  • Scary Movie: Terry Crews is the head of the ape research center.
  • Resident Evil: Afterlife: Luther West seems to serve as the de facto leader of the survivors.
  • Official Privilege: Police captain Moses Vam.
  • Little Manhattan: Gabe's karate sensei.
  • 24 - Presidents - Wayne Palmer: When he becomes president.
  • Reign of Fire: Gideon, the lead Archangel. Unusually for this trope, he has a sense of humour.
  • Titan Legends - Cyborg: Second in command, until the position is later given to Savior (post-Wings).
  • The Dark Knight Trilogy: The Mob and Other Criminals - Ginty: When the guards are faced with the moral dilemma, he's the one who takes charge.
  • Metroid - Galactic Federation - Point Man. Anthony Higgs: Well, he would be leader of his squad as a breach trooper but a General is around, for some reason, so he's obviously outranked.
  • Marvel Puzzle Quest Legendary Characters - Nick Fury: He's the head director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and is really good at what he does as a leader.
  • American History X - Robert Sweeney: During the "present" he's the principal at Danny's high school. He's also a consultant of sorts for the local police department, advising them on the rise of local neo-Nazi groups and helping them reach out to reformed neo-Nazis like Derek.
  • Krypton: Major Kryptonian Houses - Gen. Dru-Zod: As he becomes the dictator of Krypton at the end of Season 1 and in Season 2.
  • One Night with the King: Hegai the head eunuch.
  • Action Man (2000) - Simon Grey: Fulfills all the points, although he leads from the background.

Only baldness specified

    Partial Example - 2 of 3

Leadership and baldness, no race

  • New Warriors - Gauntlet: He's bald and leads the Initiative recruits.
  • The Legend of Vox Machina - Sovereign Uriel: He's bald and is the ruler of Tal'Dorei.
  • Ghost Recon - Derric Parker: He's an older Sergeant, the Xbox version of Ghost Recon 2 shows him sporting the cue ball and mustache look, and in Advanced Warfighter 2 he gets promoted to the leader of his own Ghost squad.
  • Evil 2019 Assessors - While the trio has what the Thirteenth Doctor would call "a flat team structure", clean-headed David is the one the Church vests authority in.

Leadership and race, no baldness

  • Space: Above and Beyond: Commodore Ross, the CO of the Saratoga and the guy who gives Mc Queen, essentially the ship's Commander, Air Group, his orders (as well as being as close to a best friend as commander and subordinate can be). He's the only major black character other than Damphousse.

Race and baldness, no leadership

  • The Wheel Of Time Seanchan - Tuon: Female example. Her head is shaved as a sign of nobility, has dark skin and she's a deadly fighter.

    Shoehorn for any Black leader
  • Empire of the Pacific: Sam Winnfield (who is Alt!Cobra Bubbles) is the leader of La Résistance. Downplayed in that while he fits three boxes, he isn't bald unlike his counterpart.
  • Spaceforce: Commander Judd, chief of the Interplanetary Special Investigation Squad and Jez and Andri’s boss, is certainly black and in charge. We’re given no specific information about his hair or lack of it, but baldness doesn’t seem unlikely. He’s certainly Large and in Charge.
  • Beyond Good & Evil - Ambiguously Brown: A number of other characters seem to have this going on as well. Double H is very tan, but it's not clear if he's just suntanned or if it's his natural color. And Hahn seems to be obviously a Bald Black Leader Guy, but he's rather pale and also appears somewhat Asian.
  • Suikoden Tierkreis: Danash VIII isn't entirely bald, but his multiple wives don't seem to think it hurts his masculinity any...
  • Phone Booth: Captain Ed Ramey, who while not technically bald is close enough to count.
  • Star Trek: Kelvin Timeline - Richard Barnett: He seems to shave his head, but the trope still applies.
  • Resident Evil 5 - Josh Stone: Buzzed short rather than bald, actually. But Josh is definitely the competent and respected leader of the BSAA Delta team.
  • Battle Angel Alita - Aga Trinidad Mbada: Almost: his hair is a more of a buzz cut, but being black and a leader he is as close as it gets. Not to say that he's one of the rare villainous examples.
