Opening.
I think the trope has a lot of issues and I am fine with turning it into a disambiguation. Not sure about splitting it into four specific subtropes though but I don’t know a simpler solution.

Macron's notesI think we should just cut this and Yard the non-Chairs types. The reason I say Yard and not split is due to a lack of preexisting examples.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. That might work. Using TLP draft launches as a prerequisite for closing a TRS thread has historically not been a good idea.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallThe only reason to not cut is the number of inbounds but I think appearance trope like are salvageable so don’t think we will lose much if it’s cut.
Macron's notesNot minding TLP the specific types meanwhile.
e: alright.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI don’t think renaming it to that will fix the problem. We would just be shifting the trope to another name and trope is already "overly long sleeves" so we won’t be redefining anything. I don’t think overly long sleeves by themselves mean much of anything.
Macron's notesRight, having long sleeves in and of itself is just a meaningless trait.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAre oversized mage sleeves considered odd or high-class?
Kirby is awesome.I think it would fall under “Mysterious”.
I’m good to cut and store usable examples for the yard.
Cut, if my original post didn't indicate that already.
I think I will make a cute sleeves draft at some point, since that's definitely a thing (even used it in an AU without realizing it, down to an explanation similar to the one in the description)
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢It would be great to create a Mysterious Oversized Sleeves trope for mage robes (including wizard and witch robes as both are mages).
Kirby is awesome.Well you can make that one if you want.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Should we run a crowner for whether to cut this and Yard the tropes listed in the opening post? In addition, are there any other ideas for crowner options?
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I could sponsor a draft for at least one of the suggested tropes. Since I finally got Aquatic Sauropods launched, I have less to occupy myself with in TRS.
"Move good context "Loaded Sleeves" examples to Nothing Up My Sleeve", or would that already be covered by the general cleanup?
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Maybe we could redirect this there to keep inbounds, then go back and turn it into a disambiguation page when at least one of the other tropes is launched.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. That sounds like a good idea.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Hooked a crowner for the split and whether to redirect this to Nothing Up My Sleeve until the spinoff tropes have been launched.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Calling in favor of cutting and sending the types mentioned in the opening post to the Trope Idea Salvage Yard.
There wasn't enough consensus for turning this into a redirect to Nothing Up My Sleeve, so we're just cutting it after Yarding the subtypes, but once the tropes that are being sent to the Salvage Yard have been launched, we could still remake Main.Hand Hiding Sleeves as a disambiguation page.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I Yarded the tropes mentioned in the opening post, so now we just have to clean the wicks and cut the page.
Edit: I made Sandbox.Cute Oversized Sleeves and Sandbox.Sneaky Sleeves using examples from the wick check.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I neglected to mention that I also made Sandbox.Odd Oversized Sleeves and Sandbox.Sneaky Sleeves. They currently only have summaries of what the new tropes would be, since the wick check didn't find any examples of them.
If I find wicks to add to any of the sandboxes, I'll move them; I've been taking a break from wick cleanup.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I'm saving the Characters/ namespace for last, so aside from that and the wick check sandbox, I'm up to the VideoGame/ namespace after tackling some wicks.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. To make this thread easier to get out of the way, I'm just going to copy on-page examples to the sandbox and cut wicks. Doing this is already getting the sandboxes above the three example minimum.
Edit: I copied all on-page examples that mention a character fitting a type, though some of the examples have context issues or other problems, but I figured that since it's the Salvage Yard, some of these could probably be salvaged by people who are more familiar with the works.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I got Character/ page wicks A through C. The only wicks on non-Character/ pages are on the wick check sandbox (which will be cut later on) and the Trope Report Dummy Edition sandbox (which isn't going anywhere).
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.
Crown Description:
What should be done with Hand Hiding Sleeves?
Yet another appearance trope that suffers from people never explaining the damn thing despite multiple archetypes being listed. Wick check is here — this one is especially bad since the type with the most good examples still only has four.
Normally I'd just say to make it a supertrope/disambig and split the subtypes into actual subtropes, but considering the lack of context in so many of these it'd just be easier to make dedicated TLPs for each type instead, with any good-context examples of Loaded Sleeves being moved to Nothing Up My Sleeve.
The tropes I would suggest are (names can be tweaked later):
- Cute Oversized Sleeves, where a character having sleeves going past their hands is meant to accentuate how cute they are
- Odd Oversized Sleeves, where it's meant to denotate a character being odd or eccentric
- High Class Sleeves, where large sleeves are meant to add to a character being rich or royalty
- And Sneaky Sleeves, where a character's sleeves covering their hands is meant to indicate them being untrustworthy or mysterious
