Needs Help: Badass Beard

The three-day mark is set to pass a few hours from now. Is it safe to call?

Do we need an Alt Titles crowner now, so we know what to call the merged trope? That's what we did when we merged Unwinnable by Mistake and Unwinnable by Insanity into Unintentionally Unwinnable.

I think that would be a good idea. I did mention in my opening post that I think part of what is leading to the problems is the name, but I'm not sure how to make it clearer to prevent the misuse. Badass With Facial Hair?

Well, being manly and badass =/= as being barbaric. Barbarian Long Hair has connotations of untamed savagery and fierceness. It's a much more specific thing.

Made a crowner with the proposed names. In some cases, I took suggestions that had "Beard" in the name and replaced "Beard" with "Facial Hair" (said suggestions were from before we decided to merge with Badass Mustache).

Edit: Also neglected to note that someone already added a TRS notice to Main.Badass Mustache since this thread is about it as well.

I agree that Badass Beard is currently awful for the plethora of ZC Es and long list of names of bearded individuals. What makes a beard badass??

I've voted and downvoted name examples. Thank you for giving attention to this currently boring trope.

Okay, it's been a week now.

Calling for Manly Facial Hair.

I'm not sure how to write up a new trope description, but tomorrow I can start going through the on-page examples and wicks for both Badass Beard and Badass Mustache to look for examples that fit the "facial hair indicating manliness" description and sandbox them.

I cobbled together a description to start with and added a couple of examples.

I didn't realize just how bad the on-page examples for these tropes were, man.

Description looks really good already.

I'm trying to go through the wicks, but I think if there are any good examples there, we might have better luck finding them when cleaning up.

I'm trying to think of some phrasing that connects this to Girls with Moustaches... women don't have facial hair because they're not men; therefore it is funny or pathetic when they do... I'm probably reaching.
