I've edited this quote into a more general statement to say that the Artistic License tropes cover both scenarios because we usually don't know the intent behind the author's changes. To be generous, we assume it was intentional for the benefit of the story.

Arguments about T. Rexpy's scope aside, how is the sandbox looking? Are there more examples that need to be ported over, or does it look ready to replace the old trope?

I added the literature folder since obviously the T. rex would be very prominent in that section. Not sure what other essentials of T. rex appearances are there...

So, we need to do the following changes:

• Move the content of Sandbox.King Of The Dinosaurs to King of the Dinosaurs.
• Move the content of Sandbox.Useful Notes Tyrannosaurus Rex to UsefulNotes.Tyrannosaurus Rex.
• Turn Tyrannosaurus Rex into a Disambiguation page between UsefulNotes.Tyrannosaurus Rex and King of the Dinosaurs.
• Cut the two sandboxes.

Is this correct?

Sure, the swapping could have been done without a mod's help, it's just cutting the sandboxes that requires a mod help. Apologies for bothering you.

Useful Notes needs a good image of a skeleton T. rex (just to distinguish it from the classic JP T. rex in King of the Dinosaurs) or at least a scientifically-accurate depiction of T. rex.

Wikipedia has a selection of good images that should be free to use.

These◊ could◊ do◊ for skeletal mounts, although they'd need cropping of empty side space to minimize compression. These◊ two◊ could serve as restorations, although we'd need to credit, link and note if changes were made (say, cropping or background removal).

Would those images fall under Fair Use? Those images all use the CC-BY-SA license, which isn't compatible with the CC-BY-NC-SA license TV Tropes uses. However, CC-BY (with no SA, NC, or ND) is compatible with both CC-BY-NC-SA and CC-BY-SA, and Public Domain images are always freely usable.

Edit: What about this one◊, this one◊, or this one◊? The first and third are CC-BY (so we'd mainly need to provide attribution), and the second is public domain.

Aye, but I think the issue here is that we've never clarified how renames carry out across languages. I think you can post a question to the Italian translation thread about how that page should be handled.

I forgot we were doing a Trope Transplant (i.e., moving the trope to King of the Dinosaurs and using the original name for a Useful Notes page) as opposed to doing King of the Dinosaurs and UsefulNotes.Tyrannosaurus Rex from scratch, so now I'm not sure if It.Tyrannosaurus Rex needs to be changed at all (there are no on-page examples, if that matters), aside from maybe having It.King Of The Dinosaurs as a redirect (which I went ahead and made).

Edit: It's past 3 AM so I accidentally made It.King Of The Dinosaurs redirect to Main.King Of The Dinosaurs instead of It.Tyrannosaurus Rex when I originally added it. That's fixed now.

Edit: I'll wait and see if callmeamuffin has any other ideas since they were the one who asked if anything needs to be done with the Italian page (I didn't originally know about it).
