Cut. Meaningless Stock Phrase.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness
I support the cut.
The current examples can be moved to a folder on Stock Phrases. (If we still collect them on the page.)
Yep, meaningless stock phrase.
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"Cut because it looks like a meaningless stock phrase. Go figure.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Cut. It's just a meaningless stock phrase.
To be honest, I'm glad this isn't thriving, just because this hasn't devolved to be another snarky Pothole Magnet.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!Cut, definitely.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI could see that being used in ZCEs and natter if it did end up as a pothole magnet, not unlike So Yeah.
For example:
- "Bob does this for the sake of living up to his reputation. Go Figure."
- [insert example here]
- "You forgot about [something]. Go Figure."
Edit: I took a look at the on-page examples, which are almost entirely (if not entirely) ZCEs, and the ZCEs that feature text other than quotes usually feature "This example is an example"-type Word Cruft. Go figure.
Also, the sinkholes in this example are an eyesore, especially because opening post proved that the "example" rarely uses the "trope" in question:

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. One more vote for cutting it.
That's enough votes to cut. Let's start the dewick process.
Shouldn't take that long.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI added a note to the discussion page, took care of some of the remaining wicks, and added it to the Cut List.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Cut has been processed, so closing.

This article has received a grand total of 25 edits since its creation in 2011 and has 7 whole wicks.
I'm also pretty sure it's not a trope? It's just... a phrase. Exactly three of the examples contain any information beyond "Work Name: Quote".
